I'm on Anaheim myself, don't get me wrong, but this is exactly the type of wager I can see myself saying later on "I should have known"
I mean, Anaheim seems like a no-brainer, right?
Boston is hurting big time tonight and missing two huge parts of there team, right?
And all the experts, including some very, very, very good cappers (JohnnysPicks, LuckyGuy, Depressed, etc.) on this site are riding the Ducks, right?
This just reeks of disaster, sorry guys. However, I'm a sucker for expert advice and am riding along with the Duckies. So, I'm just going to expect a 4-0 shutout by Tim Thomas and the Bruins and if I win, woohoo!
But be very careful everybody. Don't lay the house just because these guys, who are very good, are all on them.

The problem is they will face their arch rivals tomorrow.
I will try to get some stats for that because I want to know how they do in the 1st game of a B2B when they have to face the Kings at the end of the B2B.

I'm a die hard Bruins fan but without Savard & Bergy in the lineup it will be tough for BOS IMO. But then again you play the game on the ice not on paper. This is the NHL and anything can happen so it wouldn't SHOCK me if Bos pulled it out. But i'm gonna back ANA tonight.

Rask is in net for Bruins tonight, not Thomas. Goes without saying Rask's road numbers are off the charts.
Anaheim is still the right play here IMO as Boston is decimated. But Boston is going to play a classic road game tonight. Lock-down hockey and hope to win in a special teams battle.

Hiller is likely, but does he really gonna play B2B? Cant believe they will use Giguere (4-7-5 / 3/06GA/A) vs the Kings, that game is much more important. Dont be suprised if they use Giguere against the weaker team.

I think it's going to be a defensive game, the way the Bruins like. Rask and Hiller have both been amazing as of late so I hope that continues. I have the under 5 goals.

Geez. Im sorry I saw this thread. Im only taking the Ducks because all of you fine individuals are taking them, lol. I didn't put much on it but I still hope they win for everyone obviously.
I can't understand though why 59% are on the Bruins +120 and 96% are on the Bruins pucline -280. ??? What am I/we missing here.

agree with wawakid, rask has been the better goalie. tim "flipper" thomas ive never trusted! looks like an obvious under call. each team can play shutdown hockey. for a ducks bet i was hoping thomas would go!
I agree 100% Flutie about Thomas he SCARES the shit out of me LOL.

Huge Bruin fan here and I cant agree with you at all on this Thomas is the #1 goalie he gets no goal support when in net. He was the winner of the Vanzia Trophy last year for a reason, they don't just hand it out to some random. Rask is not bad at all, but I would much rather see Thomas in net then Rask. WAWAKID don't see how you can say you've never trusted Thomas when hes a lot of the reason the Bruins finished 1st with the lowest gaa and the reason they went as far as they did in the playoffs. Maybe you just became a fan of the Bruins this year and completely forgot about last years season like i said before he won the Venzia Trophy for a reason.
All this being said, its hard to pick the Ducks tonight, i can see obvious reasons to do so Selanne is back and teh Bruins are without there 2 best forwards in Savvy and Bergy, and also defense man Sturart and i believe Bitz is out as well, but if you look at the Bruins upcoming games tonight vs the Ducks then tomorrow 1-14-10 vs the Sharks, Saturday 1-16-10 against the Kings and then they return home against OTT 1-18-10. Think the Bruins are looking at this game as a must win, the Sharks and Kings are 2 outstanding teams this year and are going to be two tough games esp with tonight game and Sharks game a back to back - This is why I don't see why the Ducks is such an obvious pick tonight like everyone is saying.

Ducks fan here. I have been known to bet against my team in certain situations. However, I for one am taking the Ducks big tonight. I just don't see Boston getting the upset with so many injuries.
Ducks have won 5 straight at home, 11-2-2 in L15 at home. Playing much better hockey since pep talk from GM Murray. Focus is on BOS tonight, not Kings tomorrow. Besides, Ducks are getting Kings at just the right time, as Kings are in quite a slump. Ducks know they have a good chance to pick up B2B wins. However, first things first. Book it!

I've been a B'S fan for 30 yrs as for Thomas he does scare me & I do think Rask is the better goalie this year. Last year he did deserve the Vezina but it wasn't just him Chara had a heck of a season too as well as BOS overall team defense. They were first in the NHL in Defense & Second overall in team Offense. That's a pretty good blue print for sucess. Last year was a dream season for BOS and if you ask any BOS fan if they thought they would do it again this year I bet they'd say no. Yes we've had injuries but every team get's injuries. We're still having an ok season so will see what happens. Anyway Bud you have your opinion on Thomas I have mine.
