I had Denver 2nd half......
I think it was the correct call....they guy obviously caugh the ball, went 1-handed to cross the line, then the ball came out...
He had complete control of the ball prior to crossing the line...once he break the line the play is over....

because it was the wrong call...the so called "second act" rule is no where to be found in the rule book. It states u must complete the catch by maintaining possession all the way to the ground. The rules make no distinction between balls caught in field of play and in end zone

He caught the ball on like the 3 yd line...turned and reached his arm out...he made a football move making it a completed pass...
If it wasnt into the endzone and that happened, it would not have been a fumble because the ground cant cause a fumble....

Didn't see the play. Did he make a "football act" with possession of the ball before he went to the ground? As in tuck the ball away and make couple of steps?
The lion and the tiger may be more powerful, but the wolf doesn't perform in the circus.

Yeah...he caught the ball, turned with it and reached it over the goaline....
Then as he was tackled the ball came out....
I lost the bet....I wouldnt be saying it was the correct call if it wasnt obvious he caught the ball

if that was clear possession on the 3 yard line i'm donald trump....he bobbled and had it pinned against his body then gained control with one hand while he was going down and leaning the ball forward

It's just like when a RB reaches over the goal line and then the ball is fumbled, it is still a TD. Since the ball was caught on the field of play, then crossed the endzone, it was a TD no matter what happened after that.

He had it in his hand outstretched from the defender. never did the ball go up against his body. You must be talking about a different play.

How can you reach the ball with 1 hand if you dont have control of it for about 5 yds
If he didnt have control of it, he would have fimbled before hitting the ground....
If he caught the ball in the endzone it would have been incomplete pass....
BUT.....
He caught the ball on the 3 yd line...then made a move TO GET INTO THE ENDZONE

WRONG....u have to complete the catch and become a runner to just reach over the goalline...him going to the ground there was part of the catch he was bobbling until he was on his way down

Man, what game were you watching????
I know I refuse to agree with someone talking about the Packers....
But you fighting this is
He caught the ball on the 3 yd line....
He never had it against his body....
He turned....
He REACHED the ball....from the 2 yd line....thus making him a runner after the catch
And it crossed the line....TD right there....
doesnt matter what happens after that....
Like I said, if this was caught IN THE ENDZONE, it was incomplete....but he turned himself into a runner in the field of play....
Youre going to have a horrible gambling life if you see the game the way you do

it doesnt matter it is not going to change anything but i urge you to read the rule book....nowhere in the rules is the made up by officials "second act" rule ever mentioned and it states you must maintain possession of every catch to the ground and does not specify any difference between the field of play and the endzone...therefore if as u stated would have been incomplete if caught in the endzone it would also be incomplete if caught on the field of play

You're definitely right packer. These guys comparing it to Calvin Johnson's grab are sorely mistaken. Like you said one was in the endzone where only possession matters, tonight's was a grab and reach for the line which he crossed. Best of luck to you pack.
