All week long I've been thinking that with a healthy Hasselback and the way they have been playing that they should keep it close with Chicago if not win outright, I've seen the light.
2 weeks ago Seattle was a terrible team wrapping up a forgetable season. They beat a bad St Louis team with a rookie QB at home. Then they beat a beat up NO's team again at home. So they look to be off and running, right?
I don't think so here's why. They will lose the momentum by going on the road. They'll meet a good team that is fully focused on this game having had 2 weeks to prepare. They played earlier this year that granted Seattle won, but I think Chicago will gain more for having lost that game then will Seattle benefit from any confidence they may have gained from winning.
Another poster on another thread commented how far Martz has taken Cutler and I agree. Cutler, and his potential for bonehead plays, is really the only reason for hope that Seatlle has to hang with or beat Chicago in this game. I feel that once the emotional edge is lost by Seattle and gained by Chicago, who will have a madhouse crowd pushing them, they win this game convincingly.
10 points is always alot to give and as I said all week long that is to many, way to many. I no longer think it will be nearly enough. I see something like 31 - 10
Finally, beating the defending SB champs isn't a big deal anymore, hell most of the times they don't even make the play-offs. One and out should surprise no on.

How so ? Since that game, they have played 10 games and outgained only 2 teams by more than 20 yards. And there are some pretty bad teams amongst those ten.

Martz has done a good job with Cutler, while admitably he's no Kurt Warner he does have a stronger arm and they've reduced his steps on his drop on the shorter routes and his boneheadness has gone down. At least for now, and hopefully for this game.

Lets not forget that Seattle isn't the home team anymore, they do not have 70,000 screaming fans on their side. They played out of their asses last week and every Seattle loss this year has been by 15 points or more. I think the Bears take them out, big time.
