is there a standard rule(s) when dealing with teaser betting, or can each book basically do as they wish? To keep names out and not make this a "use this site instead of this one" I will keep the name of the book out.
I played a 6 team 7 point teaser. 5 winning selections and 1 pick was a "push". Using Vegas rules, the teaser bet would automatically make my selection from a 6 team to a 5 team however much to my surprise, the book declared the push as a loss for the entire wager.
Can the book do so? This is NOT stated in the Rules section of their policy. As they have stated on the site "Vegas rules apply"

I value any insight
99% of the books a push is a lost in a tee . In a parlay a push knocks it down to a 5 team win . 5 Dimes has tee that count pushes as a win and also progressive tees and other options

99% of books? no way bro!!! I have two and they ONLY count (and specifically state!!) a 10pt, 10.5pt and super 13.5 teaser as a loss if a push. 6, 6.5 and 7 pt teasers are NOT losses! They just count down thin winning to minuscule if it is a two teamer and just lower your odds greatly if it is big teaser in your case.

99 percent?
most books push a teaser down to the next play unless it exceeds a certain amount of teams or is a two-teamer in which they will simply refund your money.
here in mexico, i had miaim +10 and pitt-6.5 and they refunded my original bet on the miami push/pitt win.

Most books that would be a drop from a 6 teamer to a 5 but every book posts their rules. It might be a good idea to take the time and read said rules before making another wager with this book. BOL!

This is what I thought. 10pt teasers or higher lose on pushes, and 6-7 pt teasers would push that game, lowering the teaser from a 4 team to 3 team etc.
5dimes has teasers that specify whether ties lose/reduce on each one.

I had exactly similar situation over the weekend. I push on 1 leg of my six teams teaser. My book count as it a NO BET, but I am question it now cause from what I read from other sportbooks, a reduce level of payout should been pay if a push involve in teaser except for a 2 teams teaser of course. In this case, the book should payout a 5 teams teaser.

Just checked sportsbook for teaser rules, it is definitely not a loss if you get a tie. It drops down to the next lowest:
Ties on a 3 or more team teaser shall revert to the next lowest betting bracket for pay-off: for example: A 5 team teaser with one tie becomes a 4 team teaser (except on our special 3 team 10 point football or 7 point basketball teasers, on which the odds are 10/12 and ties lose).
I'd change my book if it was a loss, that's bullshit.
