Fox had 3 timeouts with 36 seconds before halftime to get into field goal range to score some points. He took a knee. Similar situation before the end of regulation. He took a knee. Excuse me, he had Peyton Manning, one of the greatest QB's in the history in the NFL, take a knee. Fox's lack of toughness and confidence in his quarterback is a disgrace to the city of Denver and to the NFL. It's a lack of respect towards John Elway, the man who brought in Manning and hired Fox. You are hired to make your boss look good. I believe Manning did his job. Fox did not.

That was hands down the worst coaching performance i have ever witnessed. If it wasn't for the two special teams touchdowns the broncos would have been blown out.
completely and utterly outcoached I do not know how John Fox is at this level with a job.

Not only that, but with a 3rd and 7 with 2 minutes left and Baltimore out of timeouts, he took the ultra safe route and ran the ball behind right guard for a yard to run the clock but give the ball up to the ravens. They could have called a pair of safe routes on one half of the field and had Manning take a sack if nobody was open. Could have won the game right there.
Also, late in the first half, he had his PK try a real long field goal in that cold weather. Now, had it worked, it might have been the difference in that game. But because it didn't, the ravens got great field position and scored a TD easily to tie the game. I'm not ripping him for that call, except that piled on top of his other egregious errors, the fact that it cost them just adds to the number of "wrong" decisions he made. Terribly coached game.

Why is it that defensive coordinators turned head coaches generally coach not to lose and can't manage a clock and offensive coordinators turned head coaches take chances.

That is a generalization that isn'ttoo far off on your part. The one exception I will note is Bill Belichick. He takes more mathematically driven chances than anybody, coming from the defensive side. But you're right, for the most part. Marty Schottenheimer was a good example of what you're saying. Fox is too.

before u fire, make sure u know your hire! Who do u bring in? I think he's avg coach, but was outcoached in that game. Unfortanately for Denver fans, not any Harbaugh's left.
Todays NFL ....get a great QB & a coach that doesn't screw things up.
CFB...Find a great coach, and he'll find a QB he can win with...

The best part is he just said that he would make the same call another 10!!!! Times in the same situation.. What a stubborn pos for a coach, Elway also said he agreed with coach fox decision. Bitter fools.

which one ? The 3rd and 7 call or the knee at the end of regulation with 2 timeouts left?
