Sorry I missed Week 17 as work beckoned... Im not too sure how I wouldve done anyways, Wk17 is always tricky but luckily i did finish off the Reg Season in Wk16 with a 5-2 record, bringing my Final Regular Season Record to 66-50-2 YTD... Not 'great', but glad to finish Above .500... Well enough about that, its onto the Playoffs!!!!
WILDCARD Weekend Picks:
New Orleans -9.5 (-120) @ Seattle: Well I wasnt able to grab this line early enough, and the 'sharps' hammered it up to 10, so I was forced to drop some extra juice on it to get it down to 9.5 but I feel GREAT about it! Im genuinely surprised to see so many people on Seattle... I, like many, traditionally 'loved' Seattle @ Home (going into 2010) bc of their "12th man" but I had the pleasure (or displeasure!) of watching this Seattle Team @ Home and realized their "12th man" means absolutely NOTHING this season!! This is just a BAD football team!! Everyone thinks theyre being 'sharp' by betting this traditionally "good home team" bc the Saints lost a couple games out West thisyr, and bc their hasnt been a Super Bowl Winner to Win a Playoff game since 2005, and bc Chris Ivory/Pierre Thomas are on the IR, and bc Drew Brees is 0-4 on the Road in the Playoffs... Guys, this doesnt make you sharp! This is what EVERYONE is seeing, this is EXACTLY what they want you to see!! This is EXACTLY how Vegas has somehow gotten 40+% of the Public to Bet on the WORST Playoff Team EVER!! If youre betting this Seattle team, I'll gaurantee 1 of 2 things, either A, youre a Fan of Seattle (or N.O. Hater) or B, the ONLY Seattle game youve watched in the 2nd half of the year was Wk 17 @ Home Vs St Louis... Because if youre like me, and watched some of Seattles games in the 2nd half of the season, theyre SICKENING to watch!! Their Defense is ATROCIOUS and their Offense isnt much better!! Now dont get me wrong, I dont believe this Saints team is going to "repeat", infact, I dont even think theyll get to the Super Bowl, but theyre 3 Classes above this Seattle team and Homefield advantage wont matter once Seattle falls behind by 3+ Scores... If you "like" or "love" Seattle in this spot, I dont wanna talk you out of your pick but before you Wager your hard-earned money on the WORST Playoff Team of ALL TIME, Please just realize this... This is NOT 2 Playoff-Caliber Teams Playing this Saturday.... It is 1 Good Playoff Team Vs 1 BAD 7-9 Football team.... Now that weve cleared that up... Re-Cap this Game!! .... Goodluck!!! (Laying 4-Units)
As for the other Saturday Game, Im still VERY Torn on this Game... the Jets have the "Revenge Factor" and boast a fresh Shonn Greene who "could" run all over the Colts, but Sanchez is hurt and hasnt looked good lately, the Jets D doesnt get enough pressure on the QB to force Peyton into mistakes. Plus the Colts Run-D has held their Last 3 RBs faced (MJD, RunDMC, and CJ2K) to VERY Pedestrian #s... So thats ALL worth keeping in mind... Im "Leaning" Towards the Colts, but Im still torn and will post my play before Sat.
The Sunday contests are also tearing me, so once I've made my decisions, I will post them... Best of LUCK to ALL of you!!!

I don't post too often but I always enjoy reading your threads. I am happy to see that your on NO. Early in the season I placed a bet that NO will win the SB and I still believe this is a possibility. I also love Indy @ home. Seems like alot of good cappers are on the Jets but then again many people expected the Jets to beat the Pats. I'll take Manning over Sanchez any day. Good luck!

I have actually watched almost every Seattle game.....I have lost some money on them at home too......I know what I am up against.....I have decided to donkey money on them one more time this year and a little on the moneyline......Smelling fishy as this game approaches.....Im thinking Seattle wins this week and gets pounded by chicago next week

Sanchez hasn't looked good lately.....hhhmmmmm...............I thought he was pretty good against the Steelers albeit w/o TroyP and pretty good against the Bears, both in adverse weather conditions....BOL bets2win and too all others this enjoyable but tough playoff weekend

(6-Pt Teaser) N.O. vs Sea Ov39 / KC +9: Well I've done a good job so far this season picking my spots to play Teasers, as I've posted a respectable 3-1 Record on NFL Teasers this Season. I really like the NO vs Seattle Over 45, but I could see N'awlens crushing 31-10 or 35-7, so im just covering my ass incase Seattle lays a complete egg... Kansas City is the LIVE Homedog on this Wildcard Weekend, NOT Seattle! KC is the team with an AWESOME Homefield advantage in 2010, NOT Seattle! KC is the Underdog who has a shot to "shock the world" and Win outright, NOT Seattle! With all that said, even though I feel KC 'could' Win this one outright, they also 'could' lose by a TD so the extra 6-pts makes me feel MUCH more comfortable. I could see BOTH of these Bets Winning ATS so I 'should' Reverse them ontop of this Teaser but I'm gonna play it safe and just stick with this Teaser... (Laying 2-Units)

NY Jets @ Indianapolis Colts Ov44.5: Well this spread definitely has me torn so I took the high road and Bet the total! I see both teams being able to score, as the Colts possess enough weapons to beat the Jets man to man coverage. The problem with the Jets Pass D is that they dont get enough pressure on the QB and Good/Great QBs like Peyton will pick them apart if given enough time... But the Jets also have a "fresh" Shonn Greene, whom theyll unleash on the Colts weak Rush D. Even though the Colts Rush D has been solid over their last 3, the Jets 'should' be able to move the ball and Sanchez 'should' put together an efficient game with the Running Game setting up the Play Action Pass... I expect Mark to finish with a conservative, yet solid line, something like 250 yds n 2 tds. The Colts Defense has allowed 'atleast' 20 Points in EVERY Game since Week 10... Not a big trend guy but the Over tends to hit A LOT when these 2 Teams matchup... Im looking for this game to be in that 31-28 or 27-21 type of range. Goodluck! (Laying 2-Units)

Green Bay +2.5 @ Philadelphia: While I do expect a high scoring affair, possibly decided by the team with the final possession, I expect A-Rodgers to outperform Mike Vick... Vicks had an AMAZING Season and is a GREAT Comeback story but the fairy tale ends here! The blueprint on how to 'contain' Vick is outta the bag and since it has been, Vicks been very "pedestrian" (well "pedestrian" for Vick), as hes reverted back to many of his 'old habits'... Green Bays defense is fast and aggressive, these guys are absolute BALL-HAWKS! They attack the football and the ball carrier like mad men and i expect the GB Defense to be the Deciding Factor in this game, while Both QBs/Offenses will play well today, I foresee the Packers D getting it done with a HUGE Play/Turnover Late in this contest to lock it up or ceil it... The Eagles Pass D has been a bit 'Suspect' this season (despite Asante having a solid yr) and I think thats whatll be the difference maker... GB's D vs Phi D, both Offenses 'should' get theirs, someones D MUST step up and make a BIG Play... Strip Sack by Clay Matthews to lock it up?? (Laying 2-Units)
Im still "torn" on the KC/B'more game and Im not too sure if I wanna play every single game (thats bullshit, im a degenerate and wanna bet EVERYTHING! hahaha)... But well see I guess, if my Teaser is still alive with KC +9, I'll prolly lay off the Regular Spread but if that Teaser Dies before the KC Game, I might be forced to drop some action on KC +3(if it goes up to +3.5 before gametime, that would be GREAT!)... My head says B'more but my Heart says KC... And I almost ALWAYS Listen to my HEART!

Respectfully disagree. The Colts receivers cannot match up the the Jets secondary. I am all over the under in this one for that reason. Given the thin receiving core the Colts have already, huge mismatch here and with the improving yet still below average run game of Indy I see a game in the high 30's. Jets are going to play keep away as much as possible from Manning and try to grind it down. GL

Aint that the TRUTH!!!! All these people think theyre being 'sharp' backing Seattle and its ridiculous to me! They are either Fans/Haters or Have ONLY seen Seattle Play in Week 17... Guys, this N'awlens team went into ATLANTA 2 Weeks ago and WON!! You really think Seattle has a shot to Win today!?!? .....C'mon MAN!!
BOL TRAIN69!
GL pkright... Either youre right and im wrong, or vice versa... Either way, I respect your opinion and wish you luck!
Mr Insight... I appreciate your "Insight" (corny eh? lol).... But I kind of agree with you, i just started doing it a couple weeks ago and Im not too sure if im a fan or not... I dont mind the Bold colors, but the Yellows and Neon Greens are TOO Light and not really legible... I dunno, well see, but since I started doing it, Ive been doing pretty well so im being supersticious and i dont wanna "jinx" myself

.....the NFL doesnt have 'rules' to who covers the spread... If NO Wins, ANYTHING can happen in NYJ/Indy... and if Seattle Wins, ANYTHING can happen in NYJ/Indy... Any Given Sunday... No such thing as "If 'Team A' covers, then 'Team B' MUST cover"

if you play the Jets you have my card covered Bets so you know what that means......stay away from any Jets action to avoid the hex on both of us!!! I'm not superstitiious but remember you saying you were so just a heads up. Happy New Year Bets and BOL to us!
