It's called typical overreaction. You see a team play well one week, and all of a sudden they are the "hot team" that is the media darling for a few weeks.
San Fran is still a good team, but their defense isn't as stout as it would seem. They had both St Louis games won as long as their defense could stop them on the last drive - they couldn't, either time.
Just like against New England where their D couldn't hold the lead. Still very good, but not clutch in my opinion.
