Oh i hear you. In most fumbles it's a rugby scrum under there and ball exchanged are common. But this fumble looked much like others where a player recovers a fumble in the open and has guys come over and the 2nd he is hit the play ends. If a guy is latying on the ground and gets hit and fumbles it doesnt matter. The play is blown dead at first contact.
Oh and i agree, belichick should have challenged that if he could. I am sure he could have challenged it as down by contact.
And yes it just seemed like that was a sign of things to come with a push off by toomer around that same time with again no call.

I disagree. If you see the play again he was laying on the ball and it wasnt moving. Then after he was touched by bradshaw on the back bradshaw reached around and pulled it out.
And yes...he should have held onto it, but still the play shouldnt never have come to that.

Come on man. laying on a ball without your arms around it doesn't qualify as posession. The Giants wanted the ball more. I had money on NE for the game, so it's not like i'm rootin agianst the pats. Just call it like I see it.

You have got to be kidding me. Not even for a second. My a*s. Watch the replay again. I dare you. Even the announcers at first glance said without a doubt it was a patriots ball. Then were all shocked when ther refs were saying it was NYG ball. If you watch he clearly has the ball in his arms laying on the ground. He is on the ball on the ground without it moving before bradshaw even touches him. That is a recovered fumble.
