Wow
Thats why I never understood trying to hold out for the max money..if you are elite and good u will get a 2nd max contract..why not sign that extension that was offered similar to Goff and Wentz that Jerry offered...In 3-4 years u get a new contract...

he doesnt take that extension because players know the owners will see weakness. its just like unions. You can say its easy to take a paycut now to save the company but what happens next time the company needs a favor? they know you can be influenced. Also the QB franchise tag is at least 30M a year so its not like he wasnt making decent money year to year. easy to look back after a season ending injury to question all of this though

Seems to have worked out for Brady ok

He made $30 Million this season...but could have guaranteed $80 -$100 million next 3 seasons with the injury...Now he won't be re-signed to a max deal and has to prove him self....He wanted $40+ a season instead of $35 million...Sometimes greed is not good.

Why would they tag him again next season coning off a gruesome injury. He many not even play next season...

or ever again. That was disgusting. Hate the cowboys but I hope he is able to recover

Ankle injuries are not career-ending for a QB. I think he'll fully recover, just don't rush back until you're fully recovered. Cowboys are not going anywhere anytime soon anyway.

Disagree --- Everyone will over react and Dalton will not be an interception machine the way Dak has been

Kinda lost respect for Dak this year and also felt like he was being greedy with the contract negotiations. But he is a good guy, and I hope he recovers quickly. Felt bad for him seeing him crying since I am sure he is in a scary situation right now.

You feel bad for a guy making 35 million a year because he made a decision that may cost him millions more? As I head to work each day working 40+ hours a week for my salary, I can't really feel bad for a guy who will make more money this year than I'll make in my lifetime. He made the decision and it may backfire but I wouldn't say his hurting for money.
