No problem. Had to get it off my chest sometime. I still remember you warning me off the Pats versus the Chargers last postseason to no avail. You are one of the few here who actually has well thought out posts and in my eyes you are one of the best but there is no one on this planet who could talk me out of this bet. The joke was funny though, funny enough that after laughing I had to respond...
I was on the Packers and Green Bay same as you last week and to me this week looks even better. (looks to me like Green Bay is gonna be a goldmine the next few weeks btw) Glad to hear you are not on the other side of this one because it feels weird enough betting against my team as it is, but I am looking to come up this year, my second one gambling on a consistent basis. Even if it means betting against the only team I cheer for free of charge. ;)
Yeah that Packers game was rough. Just like the Steelers game, we kept it close for a half then the clock struck midnight and everything went to shit. The Rams in the second half seem like a different team. No adjustments whatsoever. In the Packer game I think we could have won it if not for our special teams getting beat every play like a rented mule. I think that destroyed the confidence they were building. By the end of this year our coverage units will be at the bottom of the league again, no doubt.
The Rams are to me very intriguing because there are Pro Bowlers all over the team and even a lot of potential on both lines but for some reason... I think psychological... they CAN'T GET IT TOGETHER. I do not question their talent but their desire (and coaching).
Even if it costs me a lot of money I want to be wrong this weekend. I just think this team needs to scrape the bottom for awhile and become a laughing stock to get some of their heart back. On D we have a horrible scheme but our O should be a lot better than they have been, questionable line or not. It is just that against a great pass rush like the one coming to town, and with the aforementioned current LG and C (not that our backs can block either), they won't even get the chance.
I am putting about a fourth of my account on this game. Biggest bet since last year's playoffs. But even though I think I am about to win a lot of money I would pay it all to see my team compete with the champs and even when we are down by 20+ and the bet is a sure thing I won't be smiling about it. Just nodding and moving on to the next one.
I wish you well rich man and look forward to pick discussions in the future. I think we are both going to get paid this year one way or the other.
(Thanks for the compliment Ohio and I agree that avatar is a test of will! "Got to look away...Wait, what was I thinking?" LOL)
