FOLKS, this is the 27th ranked passing offense and the 30th ranked offense in total yards. And BTW, all that talk about the bears are playing for the one seed is laughable,
as they know that falcons and saints losing is less likely than you
finding a sack of with $100,000 at lunch today.
Numbers do not lie: The only reason the bears won that game early in the season is the 17 penalties...(boneheaded packer play) with cutler throwing 4 picks...it certainly wasnt that the bears "won" as much as the packers "lost" it. The packers are 6-1 at lambeau outscoring their opponents by a LARGE
margin, and a place where rodgers has a 115 rating career wise. The
packers are playing at home with their life on the line...rodgers
WANTS to go to the playoffs...he also is sick of answering how he feels
about missing the probowl...this guy is ice cold. Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in the NFC hands down with a 101 rating and 3600 yards despite injuries and missing games (are you kidding me??)
Bottomline: This line screams play me on the bears by vegas. Also, lovie saying hes playing to win is laughable as he knows damn well if hey plays his guys hard and whole game and suffers a guy injury, he will be run out of town after their first round exit.
Not a big play for me on the spread, but I will tell you this much, GB will WIN this game, take the team that is really the best team in NFC sans injuries (far from a fan of the pack, im just long time capper and being a lions fan, I know the division real well),
and SD is the best team in the AFC right, with a top rated D and O, how is that working out for them? And the numbers don't lie...in fact, Cutler only threw 1 int that afternoon...and has become a much better QB in this offense over the last 8+ games. The O-line is playing much better today then the first part of the season, opening up running lanes. You also have a disciplined Cutler who is making smarter decision and also pulling some balls down and taking off instead of trying to squeeze everything in.
Finally, I am tired of people saying the only reason teams won/lost games is due to penalties and TO's. It is a 16 game season, the Falcons are 12-3, the Bears, 11-4...the Pack, 9-6...Green Bay when healthy can be in the conversation for best team in the NFC, but THEY did commit 18 penalties that afternoon, and lost to this overrated team that lost to Sea and Wash...
There is a reason they had 18 penalties - and some of it just could be the pressure/spots the other team imposes on them, which causes them to make these so called "bonehead" plays. Some can be bad calls, but 18 penalties is 18 penalties.
Not to mention, Devin Hester is a game changer...even if it is just forcing a team to make a bad kick out of bounds, he flips the field.
I am staying away from this game - as it can go either way based on the importance for the Pack...but the Bears O-line and Cutler are significantly different then the first part of this season...and the D has something to prove after giving up so many yards last week -
In a bitter rivalry, I find it hard to lay this many points in a divisional game heading into the playoffs.
BOL either way
