Are the books waiting for Celtics to win gm 5 to make them the faves?
needless to say, Tyr is not giving you an answer that has any valuable information...
look... it is really simple how the books figure out series odds... prior to game 1, they figure the odds like this... they pretend it is a 1 game series... then they shave it very slightly in favor of the underdog (road team, usually)...
think of it this way... the books want the series to go 7 games, and then the series price is exactly the same as the game 7 price... so ultimately, they want to put a series price that reflects what the game 7 price will be...
if LA - Boston goes to a 7th game, the series price will be LA (-190)... or close to it...
so THAT is why this series price is what it is... LA has two home games, where they will be (-200) on the ML, and Bos has 1 home game, where they are (-150) on the ML...
nothing about this series price has anything to do with which team is better, or the Bynum injury... it has to do with the projected MLs on each of the final 3 games... and NOTHING else...

i don't know if it is the biggest in history... but it would be the biggest upset in the NBA finals in the 30 years that i've been watching the NBA...

oh come on, Boston wasn't even the best time coming out of the east. Orlando, Cavs folded.

the odds have nothing to do with who wins the championship..because the cavs orlando and lakers are favorites thats supposed to sway someones opionions of whos the better team? for example no team with a superstar with a big ego from the 00s has won a thing..lebron wade melo bosh howard..wade won with a team loaded with 90s players so the credit gos to both them and him..the easiest way to make money is to fade the new age players who over inflate odds..the day any of those players win a championship it will be a upset.

LA was favored in 2008, too... but there's nobody who can argue they were the better team, or that Boston winning was an upset...
