and 1-5 if it wasn't for Ray Allen hitting that super clutch shot against the Spurs.
LeBron always talks about wanting to be the GOAT but a GOAT with such a terrible finals record?? I know it's a team sport but that wont be in the in history books when talking about the GOAT.

It will be nearly impossible for him to have GOAT status with the 2-4 record. But he can win next year and he still should have many years in front of him, albeit with diminished powers.
After the game my buddies and I couldn't help but wonder why LeBron doesn't barrel into the lane on that last possession of regulation (easy to say in retrospect, I'm aware, but that jumper he took was extremely difficult).
Not a huge LeBron guy, but he was amazing last night. But shouldn't the GOAT take care of business with ball in hand, tie game, last possession, to steal this critical game 1? Taking a ridiculous fallback jumper is going to look foolish unless you drain it, particularly with his driving/passing abilities.

LeBron said that he got the shot he wanted. There's his ego for you. He ain't PP. He's Bron -- he should've been barreling down the effing lane and either finishing, drawing a foul, or dishing to an open man.

He can't , especially with that ridiculous hero ball shot at end of regulation. All the Warrior backers saying thank you GOAT for game 1. A fadeaway from almost out of bounds with a defender who knew what the greatest on planet was goin to do. That one hurts. How did he do in overtime?

sorry but jordan is babe ruth. nobody, cept maybe kobe, has come close to duplicating his athleticism & will to win.steph curry gonna surpass lebron as best in current game.
You sir are retarded. If Lebron had stephs team he wins every single year, period.

Who is saying Lebron is the GOAT? He's what 30? C'mon wait for his career to end. If people are trying to say he's GOAT now then being 2-4 in finals should stop any talk.

To add to your opening sentence: some people would suggest that if it wasn't for a squeaked-out 2-point, buzzer-beating victory by Miami in Game 2 of the 2014 NBA Championship, Lebron James would've been swept *2 OUT OF 3* of his final's losses, not including what might happen this series.
At the end of the day, I think Lebron James will beat Michael Jordan in more stats than I imagined were accessible, except Championships. With that being said, *Public Perception* will forever keep him out of the G.O.A.T. category, over MJ. One way or the other, we all hope to be here to see how this all unravels...

classic lechoke james yesterday. does well but chokes when it matters most. then stat padding with that layup in OT
going iso one on one rather have JR smith take that shot. JR can create his own shot if shooting like that. lebron should of either drive in what he does best. and or kick it out to someone open. iso isnt his game.

here's the point everyone is missing and does not quite comprehend.
Finals records are not black and white; you can't simply look at wins or losses. Just MAKING the finals is a massive achievement. What would you rather.. A star who has made 3 finals and won them all? Or a star who took your team to 10 finals and won 2? Now I know most people will be quick to choose the former, but here's why I'd take the latter: YES, as a casual fan the first scenario is more appealing (it's simple math, 3 > 2), but when talking about INDIVIDUAL accolades, a player making the ONE finals is a huge achievement, and one that makes it year after year after year (as LeBron has) speaks volumes about their absolute dominance in a 30 team league.
We say MJ is 6-0 in finals and praise him, but he also completely missed the finals many times. Now I'm not arguing that LeBron is greater than MJ (I'm a huge Kobe fan, so LeBron isn't exactly my favourite player) but by knocking LeBron for losing a finals (and talking about his potential 2-4 record), you're kind of saying "LeBron is better off missing the finals because it will diminish his finals record, instead of making the finals and losing". So if LeBron makes another 5 finals in his career (HIGHLY possible considering his team and the weak eastern conference) and ONLY wins twice more, giving him a record of something like 4-6 or 4-7 in finals, you'd be foolish to say he is s loser or can't win on the biggest stage. So many factors go into winning championships. His first finals he was still basically a kid lol, with the worst supporting cast of all time. And this season he lost his 2 best teammates. So don't call him "lucky" coz Ray Allen saved his ass, but then choose to neglect his bad luck.
And finally, as a huge Kobe fan, I always tried to make arguments for why Kobe was better. But here's the point I can't look past: Kobe WOULD NOT have lead LeBrons early cavalier teams to deep playoff runs the way LeBron did. He is able to CARRY a team like no one ever has before. He could play with 4 dudes in wheel-chairs and make them look decent.
And if he played with Harden, Curry or CP3's supporting casts, I have no doubt he would win many more championships.
Anyway just a few thoughts... feel free to disagree.
