Why is chi+4.5 against den who got whipped by embidless phi and on a back to back? Not saying any sure win, but should be at least den +1 or +2? Anyone?

Bulls are finishing a road trip. This will be their 5th road game in 8 days. They had a decent lead in Portland in the Q4, and then lost - no momentum. DEN was 7.5 pt favs last night, and they crapped the bed, scoring just 89 in the process. They are expected to bounce back tonight.

I haven't spent a ton of time looking at this game, so take this for what it's worth. DEN doesn't have a great offense, not sure why, but they score 4 less pts per game than the league average. They've been winning games by holding opponents to just 99 pts per game. Tonight is 2nd game of back to back - gotta figure their legs will suffer some fatigue, in 2nd half at least. This may be particularly true because of last night - they were down and made a run to get within striking distance, which took a lot out of them. IMO, this affects their play on defense more than it does on offense. I think this line reflects that - if DEN was coming off a days rest, this total would be set around 207, at least that's my guesstimate.

The dreaded look ahead game with a gritty more talented BULLS team than PHI....
DEN better hope they pull theirs heads out and coach better stay in game if they want to have a chance....
Take care.

He’ll do enough, jokic is gonna be the only one on fire for the nuggets. And the bulls should be able to play good defense against a poor shooting nuggets team from beyond the arch. Expecting Lavine, zo, and derozen to hit some big shots

I do get all that. I really do. But I still make this game at around at least 214-218 range. Maybe I’m getting old. I just can’t see it going that low. But I am probably wrong. Denver has got to want this bad and Chicago doesn’t want to lose back to back. Chicago has beating top teams coming off their losses. Make no mistake I’m not disputing or invalidating anything you said. I just think the effort could be there and Chicago never worries about letting teams score. They always have that swagger they can outscored whoever they are playing this season. Just an old farts 2 cents.

Your take has just as much value as mine. I looked more at this game and I think I'm staying on the sidelines.
