Suns shot 42 freethrows to the lakers 20. Refs might as well had on sun jerseys the way they were calling fouls on the lakers. You take away that foul advantage and the lakers are up 3-0.
Like i have always said no team no matter how good they are, they cant overcome a freethrow diffrence like that. Stern and his crooked refs are still alive and doing their thing, when the time is needed.

Bottomline is they are both pro teams playing the game for many years, one team doesnt commit that many more fouls then another team during the course of a game, unless the refs are in on it.
All the games the dirty ref worked, there was big differences in freethrows.
just wish i could watch some games where the refs just call and equal game and let the players decide who wins and who loses.

Did you actually watch the game? I would have to say it was actually a well officiated game, and called very fairly. The only borderline call all night was the foul called on shannon brown at the end of the 3rd qrt, but he did hand check and that is illegal. The free-throw disparity was because phoenix was the more aggressive team.
For example, Amare went hard to the hole early in the 1 st qrt, drawing 4 shooting fouls in the first 3 or 4 minutes, and then from there the lakers were in the penalty the rest of the quarter.
Completely ignorant to assume just cuz there is a difference in free-throws, the refs were one sided.
We haven't heard phil complain about it yet, and you know he loves working the refs in between the games..

The discrepancy in the FT's was clearly apparent in the 1st half and then the refs tried to cover their tracks in the second. The Suns zone inflated the 3pters for LA but they had a lot of good open looks they just didn't fall but seriously a 42 to 20 FT attempts is fucking ridiculous. I had the Lakers but luckily I had the over as well. Such BS.

Yes, one team can commit many more fouls than the other team and It also depends how those fouls are commited.
Look at seasonal stats, certain teams (ie the magic, nuggets, cavs) go to the free throw line many more times than other teams (hornets, knicks, wizards). According to your theory, every team would have the exact same seasonal free-throw rate, and that is not the case.
you don't know what the hell you are talking about.

my first thought was to not look at the free throws, if you're looking for conspiracy, but to instead look at the actual number of fouls called.

yea CD, i think if you watch that game last night you are going to find that it wasn't really about one-sided officiating...
i had a small bet on the Lakers, and i don't ever remember feeling like i was being screwed by the refs... the Lakers were just a bunch of bumbling idiots out there...

I am always bitching abuot the refs in the NBA and have been for years. This year has been soooooooooooooooo much better . I did think they missed some calls last night but that said, I truly felt like the oficiating was fair and unbiased, quite un NBA like. These refs usually blow but I think this year they have really tried to call the game fair and have done a much better job.
The refs are much better and the product is better because of it.
For the first time in a long time, I am looking forward to the finals.

The Lakers played like shit last night.......just like Phoenix played like shit the first two games.
There were more fouls they could have called on PHX and LAL last night....
LA lost because they weren't aggresive and turned it over too much. Same reasons PHX lost in LA. I think there are times officiating is plenty shady in the NBA, but last night wasn't one of them........besides, doesn't the NBA want a Boston/LAL series? Why would they help PHX one iota....this series will be more interesting with Bynum out, not such a huge size advantage for LAL.
