Reason # 1 From Top to bottom of roster..the Lakers have complete NBA finals experience, on the other hand the Magics have none. The Finals is a whole different level of basketball than the playoffs.
Reason # 2 The Lakers are a more hungry bunch of players, seeking to taste that champagne than the Magics. Kobe Bryant and company wants it more.
Reason # 3..Last but not least the Lakers have the best closure in the game in Bryant, who is really seeking that first championship without Shaquille Oneil.
All that said the Lakers will win the crown this year.

Lakers are the favorite, they should pull this out because of the home court...
REASON #1: Hmmmm, didn't they say this about the pistons in 2004?....hmmm..... didn't they say this about the bulls in '91?....hmmmm.....
REASON #2: They haven't looked hungry except the last 2 games against the denver nuggets.... The magic are just as hungry....kobe is hungry, but can the rest of the team feed off of that?.....hmmmmm
REASON #3: Can't argue with you there!.... BUT, the magic have several lanky bodies to put on kobe to contest his shots, and a very tough, interior defense to help the perimeter defenders on drives.....
The Magic have proven they can play with anyone..... this will be a tough series, both teams can win on the road, and in the end, it will come down to secondary players hitting their open shots, which tends to be better at home....my early prediction is the lakers pull out a tough series because of the home court....

i just think this orlando team is playing just a bit over their heads... we shall see what happens. they better win game 1... i would not want to go up against a 43-0 phil jackson record

Kobe trusting in teammates the last 2 games is the best thing he could of done. They are a good team when Kobe is the main focus of the offense, but a championship team when everyone is involved. Tough series it will be - Lakers in 7.

If you people bet on Orlando to win this series, you are fools and obviously have never been this far into NBA playoffs. The Lakers will win, period. All the analysis and Orlando is just as hungry is BILLSH-T,no team is more hungry than the experienced Lakers from last year, you better hope that Orlando is not just happy being here, but to even think that they are as hungry as the Lakers is RIDICULOUS!!As they say a fool and his money are soon parted,go ahead and bet your money on thje Magic FOOL!!!

Wasn't this the same stuff people were writing last year vs boston. It was lakers will win but how many games and boston kicked there ass. Dont under estimate orlando there in the finals for a reason.

Lakers deserve this, and they will win this...Kobe should have been MVP not lebron...
i don't think magic can stop the lakeshow
Are you saying that the Magic don't deserve the Title? i think they deserve it more than the Lakers. But that's just my honest opinion. Keep in mind, jameer nelson is still on the bench. If Lakers do not win this series, I will laugh. If Magic win this series, I will not be shocked as this team has faced adversities of all types to get to the finals.

I think Lakers also have more pressure on themselves. Game 1 is very important to Orlando. Phil Jackson has an astounding 34-0 record in the finals when the Lakers win Game 1. However as we all know, records are meant to be broken. The Orlando/Boston series for example, the 3-2 lead for Boston translated into a ridiculous 33-0 that they have won the series. Look what Orlando did to the Celtics in Boston? I even put my money on Boston in Game 7 and lost.

I guess there are no underdog winners in sports. People should just win by betting on the favorite. I like Magic feeds off being an underdog especially Dwight Howard. He took it personal in Game 6 and ran the Cavs off the court.

Do they move the baskets up to 12 feet in height and the 3 point line out to 30 feet in the Finals ? You are right Magic have no Experience with that.
Not much pressure on Howard throwing down Dunks on Wet Noodle Paul Gasol's head.
Lakers backers are hoping Orlando make air balls on their 3's. Pietrus corner 3s look automatic when he shoots them. You kinda have a feeling that it's going in right before he even releases the ball.

Wait a minute... Did you just miss the Lakes-Nuggets series? Remember all the 3's that Carmelo-JR-Chauncey were gonna make? What happened to all those 3's? You don't think that had anything to do with the Lakers defense? Hmmmm...
