If I were drafting a pitcher I would pick Strasburg over Bass.......however in this game I get +189 with Bass. San Diego only has to win 35% of the time to be profitable......Both offenses are really pretty bad. Bass is/should be an above average pitcher....in my opinion the game will be low scoring, meaning it will probably be close, Pads will get into the Washington bullpen because the Nats aren't going to want to stress Strasburg.....Pads could sneak out a win in any of the following ways:
Bass shuts down the Nats
Strasburg pitches at a level lower than we've come to expect
Bullpen blowup for the Nats
Errors in the field for Washington could lead to a run or two
Hell, Washington probably wins but there are enough ways for San Diego to eek out a win that it is worth playing to me....
My play on San Diego is not an endorsement of Bass over Strasburg however......
That's my two cents.........GL today raider

You can bet 2 dogs at +150 each split and still make money
Thats why you look at the Nats, who lets face it, arent tearing it up like the Rangers O and you say well its worth a shot here because I think it will be a low scoring game
MAC spelled it out above perfectly as well.
Do you really want to lay that juice on an offense that isnt putting up runs?
You want to sweat it out up 1-0 in the 7th when the Nats BP comes in to try and work 3 innings?
If we knew Straus was going to pitch 9 innings then its a better shot to lay that juice but this year with BPs and closers, NO WAY
