Either the umps do suck as you state, or they are corrupt. To me the League should fire the umps that suck, shouldn't they, unless the League is corrupt.
Go back to the Yank/Twins game, in Minny, ball hit down the left field line with the left field ump standing right there with a clear view. The ball lands perfectly fair, not even close to the line, yet the ump rules it foul. No official can suck that bad, can they? And if they can blatantly miss a call like that, shouldn't that cost them their job as obviously they're incompetent?
That's just one example of course, yet each game has them. Don't they? It amazes me how folks like you instead of trying to protect the integrity of the game, by asking for an investigation or dismissal of the incompetent, try to justify the failure.
Is fairness and competence too much to ask? I don't think so, and I don't think it makes one a "moron" or "ignorant immature degenerate fool" and it does take one to know one, doesn't it?
Yankees have a new expensive stadium, which doesn't sell out, and the League has to do something about it. Yankees can draw more revenue than a majority of teams, and they have international recognition. Due to revenue sharing, the owners of the shit teams all get a piece of the action. Don't ever forget that, ok?
It all comes down to the money. Doesn't it always? Do you even remotely think in this society that the outcome of a completely meaningless sporting event takes priority of the loot? Sorry to inform you that it doesn't, and never will.
So why can't the public (us) voice our disapproval of officiating when it occurrs? Why do we have to stand for it, without illustrating our point and sharing our feeling? Why can't we do all we can to try and protect the integrity of the game, and prosecute those who have corrupted it? Why should officials get this like diplomatic immunity, and never have to answer to the public? How can the games integrity ever be protected when those that run it are suspect, yet never have to take responsibility for their actions?
It never ceases to amaze me how folks like you take your time and go out of your way to defend the corrupt or incompetent. What's your angle? As always, if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
