Phillies are the strongest NL play today. If you don't lay 155 or like RL...you could always combine the 2 for a line of -1 somewhere around even. I played RL for half as much as I did ML. That's usually what I do if I have to lay some juice on a play I really like.
3 other notes if you have a leaning already or time to construct a play on opp or over or whatever...
1) Colorado bullpen is gased (Betancourt and Brothers), but I just can't play Collmenter and Chacyin has a good history vs a few Zona bats.
2) Atlanta bullpen may be limited: Kimbrel has thrown 56 pitches in 3 app's last 4 nights, Venters 45 pitches in the same game appearances.
3) Dodgers bullpen has been used a lot too: Guerra 3 straight nights before last night's off night. Jansen 27 pitches last night, didn't pitch Thurs, but did Tue and Wed.
I know other guys are available and shit, but every rp I just mentioned is a flat out beast (except Guerra, and he is good). I fully expect to see late inning runs somewhere in those games...
GL. By the way, there is a Nascar race tonight that I will be analyzing thouroghly in the next hour or two if you want me to pass along my research results.

Menace - Good stuff as usual. I looked into those and I think the Braves looks interesting because they're going to need to rely heavily on the bullpen tonight with Minor starting. Minor only went past the sixth one time in fifteen starts last year.....It will be wet with the wind blowing in from left at 16 mph in Coors so that offsets Collmenter (and chacin is capable of a beating) and a tired Rockies bullpen some. It's just not ideal. Maybe if you like it, go a little lighter on that one.
Remember to take anything I say about an NL game with a grain of salt. In the AL I set my own lines, watch a ton of games, note players strengths/weaknesses, track situational stats, and look at intangibles. Everything I know about the NL comes from fantasy baseball. Good luck with the plays...I think I may play a couple of them.

I had to listen to Darvish today because of blackout on Saturdays on MLB.tv but I watched his first start and this guy has to go after hitters more. I thought he would settle in more on the road in his second start (which he did a little) but he's still getting too cute. He's a much better talent than dice-K but I just hope he can unlearn the "nibbling" they must teach in Japan.....Also, he has no chance to stop the running game at this point. They don't run in Japan and it shows that he's not prepared for it. That hasn't been exploited but when you combine that with getting cute and putting people on you've got problems. I'm not going to press my luck on his unders until I see these adjustments.
Comedy of errors in this Rangers game and now we have ourselves a sweat. Fun stuff.

Three years down the road. Do you think the Rangers did the right thing in going for Darvish instead of keeping Wilson?
I think the decision was more about which lefty were they going to sign between CJ and Holland. The Rangers weren't going to pay CJ Wilson when they have two younger and cheaper left-handed options (Holland and Harrison). Plus I think Derek Holland will soon be considered the best lefty in the AL (if not him, maybe one of the Rays). They needed a right-handed ace. I think Darvish has ace talent but I don't think he's worth $112 million (60 mill + 52 mill paid to his old team). I hate deals where best case scenario is you get what you paid for, essentally 19M/year. Of course I'm talking about only baseball here. If he becomes an all-star type player, that Ichiro-affect makes it a steal in that sense.

Dude - its getting insane how routine TEX making me $ is. Fun stuff.
Side note - I didn't play anything on those bullpen notes made, but if Brewers is still on the board I am going to play them...
Yeah, until people realize this offense is not the 95 Tribe and their pitching is nasty (bullpen and starters) their totals will be a run high every day. I love the ballplark. It makes everyone think it's reversed.

Took the Beer makers and their team total over 3.5, oh yea
This play seems very strong considering the bullpen and short starter situation we talked about. It seems even stronger since the I assume the Brewers prefer hitting against lefties. The hardly have any lefty bats in the line-up and I now from fantasy that Lucroy, Aramis and Hart strongly prefer lefties. I think you might be on to something there.

Benches cleared twice now...neither starter makes it out of the third. I'll take the Royals pen against the tribe pen any day and I'll be very disappointed if this five run lead isn't gone quickly, lol.
