Indians -152 F5, -148 FG, (Noesi / McAllister)
This line is remarkably cheap. Do you know what
value really is? A 67.57% payback on a 98% probability. No kidding, I compute a
98% probability the combination of McAllister and the Indians offense wins this
game today. They are putting 8 left
handed hitters in the lineup today, batting Lopez 9th, and Noesi has
not yet hung in there with any good righty hitting team. They have really
stacked the deck against this boy and with an offense 8.8 points higher than the MLB
average and an offensive era of 5.40 earned runs per 9, Heaven help him.
Giants -130 F5, -127 FG, (Wainwright / Cain)
”The old gray mare, she ain’t what she used to be” and neither is Adam Wainwright. Anyone that foolishly bet on the Giants last
night can probably get their money back today. Although Bumgarner’s performance
was the second best of the season versus the lefty hitting bats of the
Cardinals the Giants still lost 5 & 9. Too bad for Bumgarner, but Wainwright / Cain
is another matter entirely. Wainwright
is vulnerable, Cain is dependable. K.I.S.S. (especially in my case)
Blue Jays +100 F5, +107 FG, (Hughes / Hutchison)
Not only am I not sold on Hughes but I calculate
a little offensive advantage for the Jays as well, and I can’t help but like an
emerging team that never gives less than 100%. Not accusing any team of looking
ahead, but the Yankees get to go home after this one and host the Reds in their
Interleague opener. Since the Reds probably don’t worry them, they may just be
eager to go home. You know: wife, mistress, girlfriend, titty bars, poker
games. New York
never closes for business.
Brewers -135 F5, -134 FG, (Marcum / Happ)
K.I.S.S., again. Happ can’t carry Marcum’s jock and
the Brewers have a sizable edge in probable offensive production. The loss
yesterday should just provide motivation and Minute Maid
Park is a lousy place to
be a fly ball throwing lefty. Happ needs to get himself traded to the West
Coast to save his career. The only successful lefty the Astros have ever had in
that park is Wandy, not even Andy Pettitte was successful there.
Thanx for the kind words 1TimeLucky1.
