The bad news is Detroit is 10-3 at home and swinging some hot lumber. Now for some good news.
Last
season Diamond held his own against Detroit, pitching 21.1 innings with
a 2.11 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and a .192 BAA. He was also 6-2 inday games
with a 2.84 ERA and 1.12 WHIP. The 2012/13 numbers for A. Sanchez vs. Minnesota
are 16.2 innings pitched with a 3.24 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and .309 BAA. He
was also 3-6 in day games last year although his numbers weren't that
bad.
IF Diamond can pitch a solid game as usual and keep this a
close game through 6 innings, the game might start to favor the Twinkies
once the bullpens take over. The Twins bullpen have the 2nd best ERA
in MLB at 2.40, converting 6/7 saves. The Tigers pen have an ERA of 4.50
(27th) and blowing 4 saves in 10 tries. At this price I think the reward warrants the risk! MIL ML -137
The sun rises in the east, taxes are due by April 15th, Kate Upton's girls are real (and they're spectacular), and the Brewers own the Pirates at home. Get out the brooms in Brew Town!

Homer Bailey is terrible against the Cardinals, getting shelled for 7 runs in 5 innings on April 10th. His career ERA vs. STL is 5.52 with a .295 BAA. Lynn pitched very well on April 9th against the Reds, only giving up 1 run, but behind him waits the worst bullpen in the majors. The Cardinals pen own a league worst 5.89 ERA and have blown 6 of 12 save chances. Between the Cards putting up runs galore and their bullpen giving up garbage runs in the 8th and 9th, I like the over to cash pretty easy.

Bailey (since he actually started fulfilling his potential) has been a much better pitcher on the road than at home, and also I expect a lot of regulars to sit tomorrow on get-away day. Neither of these teams can hit at all right now.

Diamond is not the same pitcher as last year, he is getting rocked this season. Sanchez is a different pitcher this season. He has more strikeout then hits for once. His era 1.34. Good luck on your play.

Diamond gave up 4 runs in his first game and since then put in 2 quality starts. I don't think that qualifies as getting rocked.
I have no problem with Anibel Sanchez, he's been very good. But he threw 122 pitches in his last dazzling performance, and when he leaves the game the Tigers don't have a reliable bullpen to finish the game. The Twins do. All Diamond has to do is pitch well and the Twins will have a chance to steal the game late.

Since 2007 the Brewers are 46-7 vs. the Pirates at home. Last season I think they went 10-4 vs. the Pirates overall. Does it mean the Brewers are a "lock" to win today? Heck no. But I don't think the Brewers success against Pittsburgh is a fluke.
