TEXAS +160 (2.5 UNITS) - Take a step away and take a bird's eye view of this series and a few things are clear. Right now, the Rangers are the much better team. Kinsler, Hamilton, Cruz, Guerrero, Young and Molina are way more troubling that Swisher, ARod, Granderson, Cano, Berkaman and Gardner. The Yanks look completely defeated. Swisher looks
pathetic out there at that plate right now and is something like 4 for 45 against the Rangers this season. Berkman hit under .200
against lefties. ARod has done nothing and is batting lower than .100
against lefties in the playoffs. Posada is banged up and Tex is now out.
Marcus Thames is a mediocre player. Cervelli is an average player.
Hell, Melky Cabrera would be starting right now for the Yanks.
The Yanks bullpen has imploded outside of Mariano Rivera. Yesterday, they looked like cows being led to the slaughterhouse in the late innings.
In the
last 3 games, the Yanks are 16 for 95 overall for a .168 average, fail to do any situational hitting and lack and sense of aggressiveness unlike their opponents who are taking extra bases and making things happen..
CC Sabathia has struggled in the playoffs. In 10 ip, he has allowed 11 hits, 8 earned run and an 8:7 K:BB ratio for a 7.20 ERA. In his last 7 starts, he has tossed 45 innings and allowed 46 hits and 24 earned runs for a 4.80 ERA.
In Game 1, CJ Wilson flat out outpitched CC. Through 7 innings, CJ allowed just 4 hits and 1 run.
Now Tex is gone which takes even more wind out of the team's sails. Outside of Robinson Cano, there is not one player in the current Yankee lineup that the Rangers fear yet there are 5 or 6 guys in the Rangers' lineup who everytime they get up, I feel something is about to happen.
There will be a lot of money on the Yankees' today by people who say there is no way the Yanks will lose three straight at home, but win or lose, there is tremendous value in the Rangers today and not only is the pressure all on the Yankees, but the Rangers are just better right now.
The only thing that I see saving the Yanks is an absolute gem by CC and at this price, I am more than willing to bet against it at this price.
The fans look they have thrown in the towel. Tickets for today's game are selling at half of face value. I think it's time to start working on the eulogy.

I said it last week, the Yanks should have thrown Burnett in Game 3 against Lee and saved Pettitte for Game 4. Game 3 was the game the Rangers were most likely to win and they wasted a very solid pitching performance from Pettitte that would've gotten them a W yesterday.
In addition, Burnett battled and was on the ropes and the Yanks should've gone to Joba when Molina came to the plate yesterday.

Win or lose the Rangers have the value today.....good luck bud. I hope the Rangers get it done for you today.
After the 5th inning last night, I was just rooting for the Rangers to pile on the runs and put the total over as I watched a totally outmatched Yankee team

I based a lot of the play yesterday on thinking Tommy Hunter would struggle, which he did, but Ron Washignton knew the right time to pull the plug to mitigate the damage unlike what Girardi did with Burnett.

I thought of you when Cano hit the HR followed by Berkman's near bomb right after that.......I was glad when Washington went Holland. Hunter was on very thin ice last night. You were absolutely correct about that.

And thinking Hunter would get lit up (although I knew Burnett would allow a few), got me paid on the OVER because the Rangers bailed me out.

Your dead on GH, but CC is going to be strong today especially at home. Pro- Baseball about adjustments CC is not going to Let Josh H beat him today. Will be more effective as well.

But I do agree about Swisher. This guy in the Postseason is just awful. Him and Tex. As a Yankees fan, I'm glad Tex got hurt. Besides his D, he's a clog in the order. Put Thames at DH, Kearns in RF, and Berkman at first. If Swisher's in the lineup, which I know he will be, I don't know if I'll be able to watch the game.

If that's how you feel on CC, then the UNDER should be the play for you. The Yanks aren't hitting at all and aren't hitting lefties in particular so if CC holds down the fort, it will be a low scoring game.
