Athletics +130, (Parker / Cahill)
Don’t let that walk off shot
by Roberts last night fool you, it only makes the A’s more dangerous today. No
team likes losing one like that when they feel they should have won it. A
Parker-Cahill matchup is perfect. Parker is the unknown to the D-backs while
the A’s coaches and catchers should have one hell of a reliable book on Cahill.
Let me also say this. At this time the A’s matchup offense is much better than
the D-backs. One more note: Get it early, this line is not going to hold up.
Don’t fool around all day waiting to see how your other plays work out or you
may not be able to get +110.

Cubs-Twins Under 8, -102 , (Samardzija / Diamond)
Anything less than a shutout by Diamond would be disappointing considering the Cubs are far and away the worst lefty hitting team in MLB. What a joke. Versus an average rating of 32.3 for MLB teams versus all pitchers, the Cubs check in at 26.1 with an offensive era of just 1.6 per 9. Diamond is rated a 73.7 versus my MLB standard of today at 67.7. That is a total shutdown advantage. I see the Twins winning 4-2 so…………..
Twins -117, (Samardzija / Diamond)
It only makes sense. This line is dirt cheap because the bettors hate the Twins and love the Cubs no matter how bad they are, and they are worse than the Twins this year.
Giants +100, (Feldman / Vogelsong)
Nothing gets the public back on a popular offensive team like the Rangers faster than one impressive win. OK, so they beat a below average lefty in Barry Zito last night and the public thinks their offensive woes are cured, but; hold the phone a minute. Did I not point out Thursday when I double-tapped the A’s for two +140 wins that the Rangers offensive problems were with righties, especially good, competent righties with a rating over 70? Vogelsong checks in today at 73.6 while the Rangers, in 5 inning play, have now gone 2-4-1 their last 7 versus starters that averaged a 71.2. and have a 2.15 offensive era rating rating.
