Hark!...the mother of all father and son ballgames commeth.
And I'm thinking..... that the father is dadgummed tired and fed up with that sonny buck begotten from his mother, embarrassing him, a Hall of Fame coach trying his bestest to get back his groove.
Well folks, I think this might be the year. With a new Oline coach and a slimmed down, more agile, mobile and hostile Oline, plus a super new OC from LSU to replace another sonny buck that wasn't, and never had, cut the old mustard....FSU might just be back.
Lord knows the talent's never faltered, it still there, better than ever, and now it's got itself some coaching. You can even throw in an ex-NC State head coach returned to the foal, none other than old red shoes, sunglass bearing 'chesty' Amato himself. Now with all that new coaching talent, how can the old man go wrong? That was all that was lacking. FSU is back!!

I would like to agree with blackjack and as a nole myself, i yearn to agree with blackjack, and I think about 75% of me actually does agree, but i am skeptical. I think next year may be the year for these guys but I think they have a chance if they don't turn the ball over.
This D is as nasty as usual, and if they can just get the hell off the field...and then be allowed to stay off, FSU will be in the hunt all year. This schedule is murderous but there is enough talent to handle the schedule, and we will see right off the bat just how they handle a hostile environment becasue Death Valley will be off the chain come Labor Day.
Clemson has some studs on O but FSU matches up on D, the question I have is FSU's O and Clemson's D. Minus Gaines Adams, and a couple others, and Add brand new zone blocking and offensive system for FSU.
And you know them boys won't be messing around with the "Chest" roaming campus with that whistle ready to hand out some up downs. I like what's going on I just hope the QB comes around and can make some plays, enough to sustain drives and win a few games, the D will win the rest.
laying a field goal on the road at Clemson is tough though, and I'm stuck on whether to play this one. I will wait and see how the rest of the GLORIOUS opening weekend for college football goes, but I'm hoping people like the home dogs and move the line or perhaps I'll just take the ML, but one way or another it will be FSU!!!

Im with you here BJ. I like the Noles here myself. Clemson has an inexperienced QB, some questions on D and going back to last year seemed to peter out in the end. It looks to me that clemson hasent adequitely replaced or fully developed there loses from last year. I think the Noles have a new outlook this year, which i hope to see translate on the field today. This freakin sucks, cause I want to bet my goddamn balls on FSU -3 -115, but it just seems so goddamn like a big trap about to be sprung by The Man.
I have studied and studied all the damn angles for this game and can't figure out why the line opened at PK back in July. FSU is on the road and has a bad o-line......other than that, they don't seem to have any weaknesses covering that open, and even the current field goal.
Vegas must've known this when they set that open, so what am I missing? I know damn well Vegas doesn't throw out free money on the only game of the night in week 1....every degenerate and his dog will have money down on this one.
I can't, for the life of me, see how Clemson can make consistent 3rd down conversions tomorrow.

After further review FSU does seem too easy and good to be true. Claycourt has me really second guessing myself, it does seem like a public feel good bet. Ahhhhh! this sucks Whats a degenerate to do?

I know, man, this sucks....totally. Just seems so easy to bet FSU and lay a field goal and then count the money late Monday night and put it to work on all the damn football starting Thursday.
But Vegas isn't dumb, and they damn sure don't toss out money to anyone. Seems like the time to tag FSU was when the line was released in July at PK.....let the money sit for over a month (sucks).....and then take Clemson with the points today and hope for a middle. I am sure the football smart money wiseguys did exactly this. But they do this shit for a living and can afford to wait a month in pending status, cause they know the public will do as expected.
Might be best just to bet the 2H and avoid all this hand-wringing over the public vs Vegas angle and trap games and all that crappola.

Kentucky held Clemson to 130 rushing yards and Proctor to 272 passing yards in the music bowl so I dont see how Clemson gets anything against this FSU D-Fense I realize Proctor is gone that will put more on the RBs the more I type the more I am thinking under thats all I got for now hope you can use it

I've seen alot of games that seem too good to be true..aka trap games. I've declined to wager because of that fact and regreted it afterwards. This may be a trap line because fsu looks like the play but on the flip side I could see clemson getting the upset win. The only thing that is for sure is that the first week EVEN VEGAS isn't completely sure when it comes to the line...so roll the dice and fuck vegas don't let the book scare u GLA lets show sin city that they can't win em all
