LA TECH -14.5 - snagged this line the second it came out on my book. It has since gone up and would feel comfortable playing at any number 20. QB for La Tech Higgins is fresh off winning college player of the week. This guy reminds me of this season Brandon Doughy, just a stat stuffer who is complying ridiculous numbers. La Tech is of the best non power 5 schools. Play makers with great YAC ability. FIU is horrid. One of top 5 worst programs this year. Fresh off a loss to dreadful Charlotte. This one won't be pretty. 52-17 Tech.
USF -7 over Temple - Friday night lights have been unkind to me but it's time to reverse the curse! USF is currently on my short list of top 5 teams to back. Last week on a 19 point spread they were down 4 late in the 3rd quarter ONLY to put up 4 straight scores to be in a position to cover. Late garbage TD by UCONN screwed them but I love a team that doesn't take foot off the gas. Temple lost a lot of starters on defense, and PJ Walker looks a lot worse to me this season than last. The loss of a few sure handed targets likely has him looking for new go to's. USF in 2 road games this season to better or equal caliber talent than Temple has won by an average of 25 points. Look for our pedal to the metal scoreboard stuffer pals at USF to win by 2+ scores.
Wyoming -4 over Nevada -Another line I snagged immediately. Wyoming is a solid team, they went toe to toe with Nebraska for 3 quarters early in the season before wheels fell off for them. They returned the 2nd highest % of tackles on the team defense this season. Veteran D, solid coach, solid QB, outstanding running back. Nevada can't keep up here. Wyoming wins 31-17.
WSU -7 over ASU - I see some of my favorite cappers on here on ASU and I'm just going to have to disagree. This one is personal. No love lost here between biggest Dbag coach in America Todd Graham and the quirky Mike Leach. Mike Leavh blatantly came out and accused ASU of stealing plays in what he calls a sophisticated system rivaling that of trying to crack the enigma code. Asu does typically play well at home but from what I saw from their DBs trying to stop UTSA earlier in the seaaon, this smells like a Luke Falk - Gabe Marks field day. Leavh will rub every point in that he can Saturday as Cougs roll 45 -31.
Money Line Dog of the Week - Colorado +105 straight up over Stanford. Tree just doesn't have it this year. I had them pegged as mediocre coming into the season. Tons of talent lost to NFL, they basically got their ranking off the hype of McCaffrey. It's shown he can't carry them all on his back. The QB play here is tragic. Ryan Burns is easily worst in the conference. Sefo Liufau from Colorado is a prospect rising. Kid is a gamer. I love a senior leader who's stuck it out on terrible teams only to pour his heart and soul out to turn the program around. Cinderella has the skipper fitting for another week. Colorado rolls 27-17.
Other games I'm looking at:
North Carolina -8 (Virginia very pedestrian, Pitt out shot them at home last week, much better offense in UNC, seems like a nice recipe).
Utah State -16.5 (tough team at home. Fresno is terrible second worst rush D in America. Aggies usually have a physical rushing attack. Not the type of team Fresno figures to want to match up against.)
Arkansas +9.5 (seems way too high. Haven't dug in full yet but Arkansas is a solid football team. Getting 2 scores seems like a gift. What's the catch!?)
