First of all good luck on Hawaii-Georgia game which ever side you are on... But the discussion of this game is like no other game on the board which bring me to the topic of the thread.
The “Hawaii complex”
For whatever reason, the topic of the Hawaii/Georgia game seems to bring up some underlying issues for some posters. And for whatever reason the topic of Hawaii Football appears to be a trigger for these posters who then become irrational and illogical in their emotionally charged state and start talking about reality through their limited and warped perception. Also Hawaii for what reason appears to be bring up issues for posters.
So let’s look at a typical case that we have seen. Mind you the name have been changed to protect the innocent.
Let’s call this poster MUNCHER (Any resemblance to being past, present or future is purely coincidental)
MUNCHER is a decent capper, makes good calls, plays reasonably.
BUT MUNCHER seems to get triggered by certain topics and loses his rational perception of reality.
MUNCHER can post his plays for bowl games and probably hit a decent percentage.
BUT MUNCHER then get triggered with the Hawaii game and starts talking trash about Hawaii and Hawaii football for no reason. Why? He was never attacked, but perhaps in his mind he was and has always been under attack.
BUT MUNCHER believes is his warped perception that the UH football team is on a high school level when reality is that they produced more NFL draft picks then Georgia and then most of the teams in the NCCA. The irony is that Hawaii high school football is one of the strongest recruiting bases in the nation, especially if you then factor how small of number of people live in Hawaii compared to other states.
I went to a high school in Hawaii that produced, Pro bowl and Super bowl winners (including offensive coordinator Norm Chow, can you guess where I graduated from?). BUT MUNCHER probably went to a high school that never produced such caliber players like we do in Hawaii and his jealousy shows. He probably went to some high school in the middle of no where that could not field a and 11 on 11 squad so he probably played in one of those leagues where they are playing like 8 on 8 or 7 on 7.
Yes Hawaii people, in the mainland, in small insignificant towns, they don’t play 11 on 11. Can you believe that? It is like playing ILH pass league for their real season.. lol! And his small 8 on 8 squad would get killed by the top division junior varsity teams in Hawaii. Are you getting the picture why he hates Hawaii so much? BUT MUNCHER continues with his inferiority complex jumping behind Georgia to make himself feel better.
