Never underestimate the heart of a champion.

Wish I was, but no.

Maybe... LSU was 20-1 odds in June to win the Natty (and even better earlier). Assuming he got those odds he'd be winning freaking $10,000. Clemson is +200 ML, it would only take a $500 bet to guarantee your money back. Again, foolish not to hedge when the hedge would only cost you 5% of your potential winnings.

I have to agree with Sugabear. I had to check the poster to make sure which team you were talking about.
I also agree wholeheartedly that if Lawrence and Burrow were in the same draft, and Lawrence would be the first pick, no question about that.
Burrow has had an unbelievable season, especially considering he couldn't even with the starting job at Ohio State. I read some of his background and he wasn't the most heralded prospect coming out of high school. He just worked really, really hard and has find great success.
But Lawrence is the whole package, and people were prepping their strategies around the 2021 draft. Burrow gets drafted #1 overall just because you have to, I don't think people are necessarily salivating and fighting over jumping to #1 to grab him. I believe Cincy would actually trade it if they got an overwhelming offer. I think Lawrence is an "Andrew Luck" type draft pick, where it won't be for sale to anyone.
Etienne is an NFL caliber RB. Probably lower middle rounds. I don't know enough about the teams to be honest to tell you about the other stuff.
It's pretty crazy that you wouldn't hedge a futures bet on LSU when you can get almost 2 for 1 on your hedge, and considering you're going against a team with the nations longest winning streak, and that the lower seed is 5-0 in the CF championship.

If you look at the numbers alone, saying Burrow had a great year is a vast understatement. His year is astronomical. He literally doubles Lawrence in every metric.

I’ll meet you at the betting window after the game

I have a $500 future on LSU that pays $8000. Im not hedging. Hedging is lame

So a Clemson team that has won 28 or 29 straight games with a starting QB that has never lost is a good matchup? Just curious if, in your mind, there is a bad matchup that could have occurred?
Take off the yellow and blue and think about that.
