I don't post much but, I am a frequent visitor. Richardtonsj stole my thunder...I was going to state that I thought I had read here before that you should play on a home unranked team giving points to a road ranked opponent. It seems like the posters who favor the Canes still admit that this is not your typical Canes team but, they think it is a good spot to back the Canes. But, the posters who favor the Aggies can't belive that anyone would think that their great team would lose to Miami...don't you know how great this offense is...blah, blah, blah. This kind of thinking seems like a perfect recipe for disaster for the Aggie backers.
Another game that comes to mind this week is LSU at home giving 16.5 to South Carolina. When I asked some of my friends what they thought about this game, they all responded that LSU is going to kill SC...they are a scoring machine...LSU will go undefeated and roll through all of the teams they play this year. Well, I guess South Carolina doesn't have a chance with their senior QB and two good running backs with a decent defense...might as well stay at home and concede the game to the mighty LSU scoring machine. Don't get me wrong, LSU could and might destroy the Gamecocks but, this kind of thinking when handicapping usually comes back to bite you in the ass!! Just wanted to add my 2 cents!

Another classic upset here like Alabama vs. Arkansas. One unproven team at home on National TV playing against a nationally ranked team. Miami D should be able to keep A&M in check. I think it all comes down to a big play or two. Please do not give the OU game as an example of how bad Miami D is. I think OU would have played like that against anyone in the country right. As for A&M, they almost lost to Fresno St. in the 2nd half because Fresno started to play that punch in the mouth type of football. A&M D is very soft based on the games that I saw.

With kickoff a little over 2 hours away, Im looking out my window towards the OB (about 2 miles) and I see nothing but blue skies. I dont expect anything in the form of bad weather tonight.

I like the over. Looks like the line dropped due to rain in the forecast. I have a feeling it will stay dry unless the convection off the coast moves in after sunset when the land/sea breeze dies.

I'll be on the Hurricanes myself. This team has got to still have that blowout from Oklahoma in their heads so I expect a strong showing on defense as to not get embarrassed again and to pick up the extra slack for their offense. This is Miami's first shot at redemption to gain back the nation's views of them after their first real showing of the year against the Sooners.
If they lose I won't back them for the rest of the season, most likely, because if their's any sense of pride for UM they will have a strong showing.
