Its hard for me to have thoughts on a total so early in the season, with a team involved that has a new coach.
All signs point to a lot of scoring, but who knows - things that determine totals are how many seconds a team takes to snap the ball, turnovers - things that are hard to predict on week one.

I love the fact that Oregon lost at home last year - in a game that had a lot of bad blood. Massoli is a great QB, and the spread option will be hard for undersized Boise to stop in week 1.
At least thats what Im banking on.....

Its hard for ND to NOT be overrated - with the media and everyone on their jock - plus the fact that they are notre dame to begin with. And for what? A blowout win in the whocaresbowl against Hawaii? Huh? And now marblemouth picks them in the NC game? Gimme some of that please.
Nevada can move the ball. The thing that worries me here is that ND has months to prepare for Nevadas pistol offense, instead of a week. But really - this is crappy ND - and anytime you want to bet against this team this year you should be getting several gift points to do so.
As far as VT goes, they always seem to have trouble scoring points - and I agree - they wont put up 24+ in this one. Im not buying the bama hype. 3 new starters on the Oline, new QB, new RB's - only 4 returning starters on O. I think the better question is not how VT will score - but how will bama score?
7 is just too many points for this one. Defensive game, first game of the year, too many offensive question marks on both sides of the ball - that has me grabbing a TD here....

11 years experience.... I feel the same way - there are some college guys that never seem to go away....
But the deal here is the CMich defense as usual. They give up 40+ in the MAC every week. This AZ offense should thrash Cmich D - and yes - lefevour will get some stupid scramling 50 yard TD at some point in the game - but I will only consider giving these type of point spreads when I feel like my team is in line to get 40+ - and I just see a score of something like 56-21.
Look - its the first week - so anything can happen at any time - but NV shouldnt get blown out here. God help us if they do - mushmouth will be on ESPN telling us how great they are - and now that I think about it - will set up great betting opportunities for week 2.... But I think NV will move the ball on ND>

Yeah, I agree on UAB...
Anything up to 6.5 would be a play - 7 and above would be a no play...

Good opinion - its the first week - a lot of this is yet to be seen....
I like Nevada because they run. They run ridiculously well - which for week 1 should mean good things. I think their style might catch ND a little bit - and I think NV defensive stats are always out of whack because of the conference they play in - Im not making a case that they have a good offense by any stretch - but most importantly I just think this line is high because of expectations of ND. Everytime I hear ESPN goign on about them, I think thats another half point for me.
GL - we will see soon!
