I follow the pac-12 closely and was surprised to see this line this high. UW is legit, no doubt about it. But they have played a fairly easy schedule and have shown some vulnerabilities.
USC is loaded with talent (just as much or more than UW) and has been firing on all cylinders winning their last 5 straight games. The first 3 games where they struggled, you can throw out the window as they had a different QB under center. Sam Darnold is playing lights out and I see this game being close with perhaps even an SC outright win.

I think the public is overrating USC's recent run. They've played 4 of last 5 at home, with the one road game in that span being Arizona and 3 of 4 of those home games were against the worst defenses in the PAC 12 in Oregon, Cal and ASU. They did what they should of done to bad defenses. Washington at home is very tough. That Stanford Friday night game this year was the loudest game I've ever been to. With game day in town I imagine it's going to be just as rowdy. Very tough environment for a freshman Qb to handle. Haven't decided if I'm going to bet it yet or just go and enjoy but I'm leaning Huskies by 17+ here. Good luck though Bear, I recall last year you being dialed in on PAC 12.

Would like to note that SC covered comfortably in the ASU, Cal, and Oregon games. Have been impressed with what I have seen and think 9 points is way too much with all things considered (including the points you mentioned).

USC wins have been against easy opponents as well. Washington won on the road at Utah and destroyed Cal in Cal. Browning completes 15% of passes for TDs.

Can't wait to watch this game. I love the pach12 and have watched both these teams. My initial lean was USC but I'm starting to get the tingle. Washintons pass defense is legit. USC keeps it close then Washington blows them out late.

gonna be interesting to see how Darnold holds up to the pressure. I think he has a good game. He's gonna have to. I don't see there running game doing much

I think Win is spot on here. All week ESPN have been saying just the same thing 'USC has the talent to upset Washington', Darnold is playing great, etc. UW has been hearing that and last year when they were super motivated to beat USC in USC because of the Sark stuff, they did it easy. Peterson is an excellent coach and I don't see this is as a good revenge spot, I think UW will win again.
Huskies haven't played at home yet since mid October while USC has been at home most of the time recently. Teams off back to back road games like Washington are really good spots this time of year and they are not going to let the rejuvenated Trojans derail their Pac 12 title run. Washington has the best secondary Darnold will have seen, and like Win said, it will be a very tough environment. I still think USC's defense is a bit suspect, Cal was able to score a good few in the first half even without their best WR.
I think this USC is a trendy pick that will go down in flames tbh.

Darnold I would say is different from other freshman's. He's played a decent amount of games and the secondary situation the Huskies allow just 5.6 yards per pass attempt probably one of top 10 in the country. Playing at home is going to be big too.
