Hope everyone had an outstanding Holiday weekend, and enjoyed the first week of college football. I have to say that Boise St./Va Tech game was awesome to watch, no matter who ended up winning.
As always, the disclaimer, the computer won't be ready until at least week 3 or 4, so this picks are still debateable as I only have 1 week of data for this season so far.
Last week the computer went 2-1-1 with the following results:
Fla Atlantic +14 vs UAB.
Bowling Green +14 vs Troy
Purdue +11 vs Notre Dame Push
Cincinnatti +2.5 vs Fresno St.
A couple of my own thoughts on the process so far. When you use data from last year, and a team was ranked in the top teams, and they are getting points the next year....probably not a good bet...i.e. Cincy. Secondly, when placing bets on teams who are giving 30+ points in the first games of the year, and have lost their premier quarterbacks...i.e. Florida, Oklahoma, Cincy, Texas....don't lay the points.
Anywho...on to Week 2...I know you are all tired of me rambling. These results won't be used for wins nor losses for the year...need more data. But should hopefully give you a little information towards games you might want to look at.

Ran a few formulas, and favorites is just not my thing....however, here is what the computer has come up with for its favorites picks for Week 2...using data from Week 1 of 2010 season. Using this formula, the best i could work it to without a loss was 2-0 last week......
Kentucky -24 vs Western Ky
Ga. Tech - 13 vs Kansas
Nevada-Reno -22.5 vs Colorado St.
and that is all it liked this week. I will watch this and try to tweek the formula each week for Favs, but as all know....I am a big Underdog fan....

You know what tho ATC, I think many people would appreciate you posting your favorites picks alongside your dogs. Everybody knows you're THE MAN when it comes to underdogs, but many of us play the chalk too and we could use all the help we can get!!! Thanks a bunch bud.
