Of course it is well established that hemp is one of the most medicinal plants on earth, and not one person has ever died from it, so if we truely lived in a free country (which we don't) it would be made readily available to the people.
Be that as it may, you still have to deal with reality, and the reality of the world we live in is that it is an illegal substance. And when you're likely to be a top 10 draft pick in the NFL, you can't be smoking weed - especially not driving down the road.
Smoking weed, however, does not necessarily make one a "thug."

Well just because it is natural doesn't mean it's "good" for you or "not bad" for you. I used to smoke it when i was young and dumb. Fact is it is a de-motivator and enough people drink and drive as it is. No reason to make it legal and have more people drinking around impaired and more young irresponsible teenagers would try it. Yes i realize they can get it anyways but being legal would increase the amount of immature, irresponsible people smoking it.
No smoking it doesn't make you a "thug" but do you really think any of the eilite, competitive, athletes smoke that shit? No they don't. Wait until you are retired. I mean why do these young athletes keep potentially messing up their lives with this stuff? Is getting high that important? I work on a deepwater rig 150 miles offshore and we are tested on a regular basis. My "job" and healthy salary are much more important than "getting high".
In my opinion those that put getting high before their jobs or families are thugs, punks, and losers.

WOW jwheels!!! I have a whole new respect for you!!! You actually know what you're talking about. Who knew???
Cancer is a great example. Cancer exists because our government and Big Pharma want it to exists. Most of them know that cancer is almost entirely preventable, and they also know there are literally hundreds of cures for cancer. Hemp oil is one of them.
Why don't you know about this you ask??? Because cancer is a multi billion dollar industry, and they don't want you to know about it. They want you to be totally dependant on them and their expensive treatments. Can you imagine how many businesses would go under and how many people would be put out of work if the people knew how to prevent and cure cancer without the help of doctors and big pharma???
No, you will NEVER hear about any cancer cure that doesn't involve doctors and very expensive, unnecessary treatments from the propoganda channels of the mainstream media.
Our government has taken their war against cancer prevention and cures even further by criminally prosecuting any doctor who dares to cure cancer, and by attempting to outlaw every conceivable remedy such as hemp oil and vitamin B17. Now they escalating their war even further by attempting to make ALL over-the-counter vitamin sales illegal, which would leave the people no defense against the cancer causing chemicals they poison us with in our food and drink everyday.
If you have a loved one who is battling cancer or are interesting in learning more, take the time to watch the following in its entirety.

Marijuana does NOT equal bad. In fact, quite to the contrary.

Ignorance is the path of least resistance.
And after you finish watching the above documentary, move on to this one.

You'll be a whole lot less ignorant because of it.

Jimmy-
I am highly disappointed in you saying i will be "less" ignorant after watching those documentaries. Get off your moral high horse because your feeling may have gotten hurt since an Alabama player made a bad decision. Dre wasn't driving but both he and the driver were under the influence of marijuana. The fact was they were pulled over after weaving back and forth on the road. The fact that they could have 'killed" someone while driving under the influence seems to escape you and the dumbasses who are offended that i called Dre a "thug". A bad decision was made. One that could have led to them killing somebody while driving under the influence. The decision to smoke weed will also bring up character issues for some NFL teams. It's not like they think it was his first time to smoke weed. Does it make him a thug? Not necessarily but it does make him an immature, irresponsible young adult who needs to get his head out of his ass and do more positive things in his life instead of smoking weed.
My post wasn't about the evil of big pharmacutical companies and the benefits of hemp oil(medical marijuana etc.) I agree with you and Wheels on most of those issues.
Funny things is assholes like doubleup who post dumb shit and probably get high and drive. My college girlfriend was killed by an "athlete" who was high on marijuana while driving back in 1993. So don't tell me that "Marijuana does NOT equal bad"
You are more ignorant for thinking that. It has some great benefits(at least THC does) but 99% of people that mess with marijuana could give a fuck less about those benefits and only smoke it to "get high"

BookieAssassin-
My point exactly. Honey badger is labeled a punk thug criminal by many and yet to talk about Dre in the same light just rubs some people the wrong way. I don't care for honey badger either.
The point is getting "high"(wether on alcohol, weed, cocaine, etc) is not cool and can be a detriment to a better life.

I am not being a smart ass rather I am genuinely curious about eating apricot seeds. Apricots have a huge pit inside of them, is this what you eat, or do you brake them open exposing seeds? I have heard of the anti-oxident claims of laetrile but was always curious how it is extracted from the apricot pit.
