Another bad day, probably a good idea to stay away from my plays until i get back on top of things. Lost out on Purdue 1H by a half point but got it back with a 2H under cover. Also won with Drake a SU winner, but losing with Georgia, Tennessee, and Utah.
I like a lot of games today, but can't play them all. Sticking with the Pre-System and eventual system plays as well:
TOWSON+10 (1U) N. ILLINOIS +8 (1U) TOLEDO +16 (1U)
Other plays:
MEMPHIS +2 (2U) - How in the world is UCF favored? IOWA +7 (1U) - HUGE game Saturday vs. Ohio St. Classic look ahead spot here. NOTRE DAME ML (2U) NOTRE DAME/LOUISVILLE UNDER 138.5 (1U) DUKE -10 (1U)
May throw a ML Parlay in there. BOL - like I said I would stay away from my plays right now

That one fact doesnt at least get you off Memphis?
I mean, the oddsmakers are telling you one thing and you are openly telling them you think they are wrong.
They are wrong often, but its clear they are taking a side on this game.
Not at all.
Look back at the recent spreads on UCF games - in my opinion they have been getting way too much love, and my opinion is that because of their 14-0 start that weighs heavily in bettors minds, when in reality they aren't that good past one guy on their roster.
0-9 ATS in their last 9 games! There's no way I would pass this up but maybe it is a sucker bet, and if it is then I will live with that but I can;t pass up a decent memphis team getting 2 points here

Memphis just played in Spokane and beat the Zags on Saturday and now fly back across the country to play a team that you know will be chompin' at the bit....

that game was 4 days ago, not worried about the travel issue.
I suppose if that "revenge" factor is big enough then that would be the only reasoning i see in taking UCF
If UCF was in the hunt for the conference title or something of that nature then i'd say go for it, but at 1-7 they arent playing for much here...no way they make the tourney with their resume they got right now (florida their only "good" win)...i may be wrong but i just cant find a good reason to take UCF here other then the "revenge" factor and possible home court advantage, but they've been very beatable at home or away

We shouldnt look back on the recent spreads, imo, they mean nothing. But I get the feeling you are telling me that UCF is due to cover a spread lol.
You can make an argument for each team here being better than the other. Power ratings have them dead-even. Both teams SOS sucks.
I dont think its a suckers bet - Memphis should lose this game, its why they are getting points.
I just think you are putting yourself against the oddsmakers when they have clearly taken a side. I hate that feeling. So I wanted to see what you thought.

I think everyone is reading far too much into this game, UCF may have revenge in their minds, but not in their skills, Memphis won't take them lightly....UCF is 0-9ATS, they get beat by everyone, home and away.....Memphis has played good teams at home and away and have played admirably, with some convincing wins........what more do you need to know....the play is Memphis getting +2' .....go get the money....BOL

Iowa is definitely catching Wisky in a look-ahead spot and I'm backing the Hawkeyes with ya, it's just tough going against Wisky and that unbelievable FT shooting.

well UCF has been due for a cover the last several games, it just hasn't happened...of course, tonight could very well be the night they do get the cover, but when your 0-9 the last 9 games I will take a shot that it goes to 0-10
And you cant even begin to tell me that the SOS are relatively equal...UCF has played Florida on a neutral court and @ Miami FL, that's it....as for memphis? @ Gonzaga, @ Tennessee, Kansas, and Georgetown...i dont care what the #'s may say that's not even close, but regardless that point is irrelevant.
like i said, I may be wrong here and UCF may come out and play out of their ass, but I'm sticking with the better team here in memphis.

Iowa is definitely catching Wisky in a look-ahead spot and I'm backing the Hawkeyes with ya, it's just tough going against Wisky and that unbelievable FT shooting.
wisky is a very solid team, and iowa has been very up and down, but i could definitely see a SU win here...in fact, i would hope they do so we get more points saturday for wisconsin which would make me very happy

and the oddsmakers arent right 100% of the time
I dont really need to tell you about their SOS. You can just look at one of the most respected names in the business - Kenny Pomeroy. He thinks they are damn near equal and I will always give him the benefit of the doubt. He does things by #s. I would probably look at some teams these guys have played and done it by name recognition only. Kenny doesnt worry about name rec. He just tells you how it is. And how it is is that these two teams SOS is damn near identical.
About the second sentence, I really dont think Memphis on the road is better than UCF at home.
And the oddsmakers arent right 100% of the time, but they do this for a living. Gotta give the professionals a tip of the hat every now and again.
Wont bother you any more. Just playing some devils advocate.

I like your thinking, but I think its too wishful.
That game is going to be a PK, no? I would think we would be laying 1 or 2 backing Wisconsin.

its tough to say or speculate what that line will be, but I honestly think OSU will be favored by a couple...+ points for wisky is what i'm hoping for, even if it's just 1.
GL with UCF too, one of us will be right and with the way my plays have gone the last several days i wouldn't be surprised if UCF covers, however i obv. dont think they will
