Grabbed this late last night. I have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to bet the Bobcats as an underdog after they made me a boatload of money in last year's tournament. Simply put, this is the most seasoned team in the country and one that is loaded with savvy, veteran players across the board. They catch a Memphis team that is yet again overrated by the media and betting public. It's your typical Memphis squad: very "talented" but lacking any discipline, cohesiveness, and actual basketball acumen. Memphis will play well in spurts, but this is the biggest game of Ohio's non-conference slate and their only chance to accrue a resume-building win.
Leans:
Florida State +5.5, Virginia -4.5, Dayton +9, TU -3, Davidson -8.5

Pretty big rivalry game. I don't have the proper words to describe how abhorrent Charlotte's schedule has been to this point in the season. It's December 5th and the Niners still have not played a true road game. This is unheard of an for A-10 team. Major scheduled like a guy whose job was on the line and concentrated solely on getting wins. Charlotte blasted Davidson by 24 last season, so we get a revenge opportunity here, too.

Any news on whether or not Murphy is playing? Questionable with a hip pointer is all I've seen. I heard this before when they played Virginia, and Murphy went off. Line going in FSU's direction has me thinking he might make a go of it.

my thoughts exactly. he's a big workhorse and logs alot of time.
keep a close eye on this. early lean on FSU now sitting at +4.5 here in ontario.

You probably know more about Marshall then me, but do you like how they matchup with WVU?
Leaned to the Herd initially but something still isn't right with them. I had high expectations coming into the season. Maybe they get it together tonight in a big, big rivalry game...

Love Davidson tonight! I was surprised to not see you on New Mexico tonight. I know you like them and USC looks like a lost team as far as what they want to be from an identity standpoint.

Bogey - Great win for NW and one they absolutely needed after losing to UIC. That Zags total looks pretty accurate to me. Should be an up-and-down game but Wazzu will have some trouble scoring against the Zags' defense. LaSalle will win, not sure about the cover. One thing working in the Explorers' favor is that PSU almost never plays in these little bandbox gyms. They did it last year at St. Joe's and were down 22-0 before anyone blinked.
Yacker - Very glad to see you on Davidson. No one knows these SoCon squads better than you. Obviously I love New Mexico but they have a bit of a tendency to play down to opponents. USC could hang here, but there will probably be a point in the game where New Mexico starts puling away. The spread looks reasonably accurate, IMO.

Bought a half on 5Dimes to get this down to 4. Remember Tennessee against the condensed Georgetown defense? Well, similar problem tonight. UVA plays an unorthodox "pack-line" man defense invented by Bennett's father and growing in popularity (Dayton uses it as well). The goal of the pack-line is to force uncomfortable jump shots, give up nothing inside, and provide constant help-side defense. As much as it wants to play from the perimeter, Tennessee is not a good shooting team. McBee can get hot, but he's too streaky to be relied on. It'll be a different story when Maymon returns and he help Stokes on the block, but for now, the Vols are painfully limited offensively. Virginia plays the 2nd slowest tempo in the country (#345) and is very efficient within its offense. Plenty of size in the paint to deal with Stokes and an underrated homecourt edge probably gets it done for the Cavs tonight.
North Texas +12.5 (1 unit)
The SLU homecourt scares the crap out of me but this line is a little inflated. I've faded North Texas a few times this year as the Mitchell hype was a little out of control and losing Johnny Jones to LSU was a major blow. Still, I'll take a shot here with Saint Louis coming off of a highly-charged, emotional win on Sunday on the heels of Majerus' untimely death. Moreover, North Texas was only a 6-point underdog at Virginia and an 8-point underdog at Creighton, both of whom are better squads than Saint Louis (for now).

Thanks man. One more.
Colorado/Colorado State.
Revenge game for Colorado, but 5 is a lot to give up. Thinking of ML parlay between this and Virginia....

Nice cap on the UVa game- but I worry that the Hoos rely too much on Harris for offense, and not just FGs. Wisc plays a slow enough tempo that Harris could maintain for 40min. but, I'm not sure he'll have that luxury w/ the way the Vols like to push the ball up the court. Thoughts?
