GREAT day yesterday picking up a grip of money!!! Needed after the mediocre Friday always good to hit a ML on a team over $130 and also parlay it with a huge underdog in Abilene Christian. As I stated pre-tournament just too much parity this year. Gonna try to keep the good times rolling I'm posting these plays in order of which i like best if that helps at all. I play them all for the same amount of units but shorter card as we move forward so might as well prioritize them:
ORAL ROBERTS (+9): Florida is really good, would be even better with Johnson, but then again so is Oral Roberts. They have been a covering machine this year and to be honest can win this game outright just as Abilene Christian did last night with the same spread. I will be putting a small amount on the ML as well maybe even parlayed but safe to say I will be on them while gladly taking 9 points
HOUSTON (-7.5): this team is really lethal, i have them in my Final Four. as someone who watches the Big Ten probably more than any other conference I like the way Rutgers played against Clemson but they just aren't the type of squad, at least in my opinion, that will challenge Houston. While I know 7.5 points is a lot to drop, it did go down from 9 points at open signaling a large public play is on the Scarlet Knights. I just feel that's the wrong team to back and see Houston pulling away in the second half. Outside of Memphis, they have had little problems dismantling teams over the course of the year (19-8-0 ATS over the year, I'm alllllll over that).
OREGON STATE (+6): so I really haven't backed the Beavers at all this year, mostly staying away from their affairs, not purposely but that's the way the ball bounced. but it's impossible NOT to take notice of a team picked LAST in their conference winning the conference tournament then abusing a very good Tennessee team from start to finish. this team has a boatload of confidence and the grit to fight until the very end. I see this game close and whether or not Oregon State wins I'm not certain, but i'm certainly interested in backing a team that is 14-3 ATS over the past 17 as an underdog.
NORTH TEXAS (+6): this one is tough...because with Gillespie I really thought the Wildcats could go far. without him, I understand they won their first round game handily, but I think they are going to face a suffocating defense from North Texas and a big man in Javion Hamlet that's plenty capable of challenging Robinson-Earl. on top of this, the Mean Green are a confident bunch and Villanova is not exactly the top FT shooting team when you remove Gillespie, so a close game could end up within the number. lastly, the Mean Green have more than just Hamlet who can score and I think the loss of Gillespie gets a bit exposed here.
That's all i have, looked at the other affairs, and kept bouncing between Baylor FH and Arkansas FH. Then decided I'm not going to play either so as not to reach. Feel good about these plays, again looking at things from a parity perspective and who is on the floor, not the name on the uniform. As always, tail or fade, good luck to all....
