Obviously the biggest game of the day on Saturday and of the entire year most likely.
Both teams undefeated and something has got to give.
No spread out for this game yet on Vegasinsider. probably gonna have to wait another 5+ hours
Line guess: Louisville +3.5
First glance lean would be taking L'ville and the points. This is the best team Kentucky will face until tournament time and at the yum. Think Louisville's D can match Kentucky's offense for the most part although we know Kentucky has the best front court in the country. Harrell will be a problem down low for UK but so will UK's bigs. Lville's D still one of best in the country in basically any category: steals, blocks, rebounds, ppg. Concern here obviously with l'ville's offense that has looked sluggish at times this year but last 4 games they have really exploded on offense and now score around 77 ppg around the same as Kentucky.
Main concern for taking ville: I believe the only time Cal was beaten at the yum was few years ago when Louisville had its best team in years and beat Kentucky by 3.

yes got in with my Asian book was hopeing for a pickem game but got 3.5 instead.....the only thing that worries me is the home court....if it was a neutral I would say Kentucky by 10.....Harrison twins are pretty strong....we shall see

I think so too for the most part and I can see the automatic tendency to fire on Kentucky -3.5 here. But to me this is a horrible spot for Kentucky coming off xmas break and playing their hardest game of the season laying 3.5 pts on the road. These are the kinds of spots I look for when playing on a team I know is inferior by a little bit. The spot likely wont get worse for playing on Kentucky IMO. Cannot see Kentucky winning big here I just can't .

The only scenario in which Loserville can win is if Ky shoots like crap like they did vs Columbia and Louisville hits about 10 3's. If one happens Ky still wins. If both happen it'll be tough for Ky to win. This should be a very physical game. Probably will be the most physical since 2010. Pitino in his own words says rake 'em as they enter the the lane. "Refs can't call all the fouls." Anyway, my 2 cents worth is this. Pitino of course will press and I just can't see the press being effective. Ky can both throw it over the top or slice thru it with Tyler Ulis in there. I think Ulis will tear their press apart. But it's his first true road game as a freshman so I could be wrong. "The Professor" predicted a Ky win by a point. And he is usually accurate. So assuming this is a close 1 point game, UL will come out fired up beyond belief, hit some threes and Ky will get some BS calls made on them by the refs, and Ky's shooting will be spotty. One of the refs assigned to the game has called 3 technical fouls on Coach Cal in the past 6 Ky games (he has refereed) so they do not like each other. This has all the makings of a grind it out physical game where Ky will have to face more adversity than they have all year. So I think the correct play will be to take the points. But since I will not bet against my team, it's a no play for me. I will simply enjoy the show. Good luck on what you guys decide.

With the defense they play, you can add Virginia to that list. It would also take some poor shooting by Ky and UVA hitting a lot of contested shots. But UVA would be an intriguing matchup for UK IMO.

This is the deepest, most overall talented team coach Cal has ever had. They are already playing defense like Cal's teams in March. I honestly believe if they win this game, they will go undefeated this year...

UK is a great team....UofL at home getting 6 or 7 points....hmmm...I'm from Lexington, not that it matters, and I know UofL and UK very well....This would be a game I'd pass on...UL getting 7 pts in a home game vs the Cats??? Not saying take the cards. UK is clearly better....buyer be aware.

Look at how UK plays in big games this year. They LOVE three national stage, beating UCLA, KU, and UNC by an average of 29.4. The game won't be as physical as some are saying because of Harris' punch two games ago. Refs will be very quick with the whistle which helps UK with their depth and style of play. I really think UK by double digits by the end of this one.
