I respect your opinions key but saying that anyone betting this game tonite is purely looking for something to bet on and is being wishful in their hope for a win is a bit far fetched. The bullpen of the dodgers has been great and the Cubs has been bad. The bats of Rizzo and Bryant are non existent but I don't see the Dodgers absolutely pounding the call and scoring a ton of runs this series. There is this aura though that they are. They have relied on great starting pitching, great bullpen and timely hitting by their superstars. The dodgers have no doubt been playing better ball than the Cubs but dodgers backers are bevko g the dodgers tonite simply because they see Kershaw on the mound and they believe the Cubs bats won't wake up. Seems dangerous considering the big draw for dodgers backers could get see a cold lineup in the Cubs all of the sudden get hot. I guess I don't understand how after two games in the AL, after the Yankees looked extremely overmatched why the Cubs can't make this a series when he Yanks did a complete turnaround in the next 3, winning 3 in a row. The "easy" bet tonite and I promise you it's the majority bet is saying Kershaw throws a gem and Cubs don't "sneak away with one" tonite like they did last nite. I get it but with no other game tonite and an easy slam dunk for a he books of the Cubs win, why the Cubs don't hold any sort of value here tonite. Kluber got roughed up twice, Greinke, Kershaw, severino, Sale, all these aces have experienced issues at some point in the playoffs. It can definitely happen tonite when ALL signs supposedly point to the dodgers. We will see, no play just yet for me but I will be watching the line up until game time. a Cubs win tonite would also even up the money and where it goes for the World Series. As so many say, books always want even money so a dodgers loss tonite may help then with that motive. We'll see.
Achilles, im sorry to respond to you thread, but the Cubs are NOT the Yankees for 3 reasons, 1-Yankees bullpen is probabaly the best right now, they are untouchable, 2- the Yankees lineup has been betting hotter and hotter, with bryant and rizzo doing nothing, theres no way Cubs come back and 3- the Cubs did what they had to do last year and thats win a WS in over 100 years, you cannot compare the yankees to the cubs right now, people have trust in more than 80% of the yanks hitters than in Rizzo and Bryant, and the Yanks starters, well i dont have to say, Tanaka outpitched the Astros ace yesterday Dallas, he stayed right there with verlander couple of games back, CC has been pitching lights out, and there bullpen with Robertson, Green, Kahnle and Chappy, the untouchable 4 so far. i just think you can NOT compare the Yankees right now to the Cubs

good luck with your Dodgers play tonite. It's definitely the sexy bet tonite. Question: IF they lose will you have a legit explanation? I ask because you seem to believe that this game is already over and there is no need to even play it. Enjoy the game amigo.

Oh one more question: if you watched the World Series last year, what did you see from the Cubs that made them think worthy of your money down 3-1? I had the cubs winning that series before itbatarter and I had them in games 5,6 and 7. I'd say it's documented but covers got rid of that. This is this year sure but the same type of people like yourself came into these forums and said the cavs couldn't come back down 3-1 and that the Cubs couldn't come back against the dodgers 2-1 or the Indians 3-1. You are expecting everything to stay the same going forward based on the PAST. I can't compare the Cubs to the Yankees why not? Because you've already seen the Yankees win two in a row? What before those 3 wins gave you any hope that the Yankees would come back and lead this series? Nothing. This is the sane exact scenario for the Cubs. Not much has pointed anyone in the direction of the Cubs coming back and I get that but I'm 100% comparing Apple to apples if you hear what I'm saying. You l, my friend are comparing Apples to oranges because when you state that the yanks and Cubs can't be compared you base that off of what you've seen the Yankees do to come back. You give the Cubs no chance in doing the same in the same situation. How crazy would it be if the Cubs blow out the dodgers tonite. Anything can happen. All respect amigo.

All you see here are reasons to "like" one team or the other, or concepts of how Vegas is fixing the whole thing or begging for money on one type of bet or another. You do not see any concrete evidence of why either line is justified. The contributors are the same guys that just HAVE to bet the Superbowl. If they win it was a great pick, if they lose Vegas Fixed it. Not one of you posters has addressed the probability of a great Kershaw or Quintana performance or a collapse by either offense. Lots of talk about the bullpen angle, but how many bullpens save a game when their team is down 3 or 4 runs? Really, why not handicap the game itself and determine whether or not the line, either way, is justified? Perish the thought, we just HAVE to bet this game. Jump for joy or blame Vegas and MLB for a fix. Your money, your choice, but that is all this thread amounts to.
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

Achilles, im going to be honest with you, i was living in Asia last year during football and MLB season, so i didnt follow any sports last year which was the first time i didnt follow any of the sports, but the year before that, with Cavs vs GS i was following that whole nba season, and i had Cavs -1 and GS -2 to win each series, thats when the Cavs swept every team and GS swept every team to make it to the finals, and before game 1 of the finals i took Clevland, if i remember correctly Golden State vs Clev series odds were GS -400 to win the series (win the 2015 championship) and i remember taking Cleveland +300 (i dont remember the exact comeback but i took cleveland that year, when GS was up 3-1 in the series going back to GS with Draymond Green with he 2nd tech gets suspended for game 5, Cleveland wins that game now its 3-2 GS, heading back home to cleveland, the cavs tie it up at 3-3 then going to GS for the final game 7 and Lebron and Kyrie do there thing, i took Cleveland again for the series when being down 3-1 series was +2000, took the Cavs for $200, now its tied 3-3, i remember 4th quarter when Klay running up the court by himself to for an easy layup and lebron is standing at half court, taking 2-3 huge steps and blocks Klays layup, also remember with 4 minutes to go there hasnt been a score in 3-4 min and Kyrie puts up a 3 to put the Cavs ahead and Cleveland from being down 3-1 come back and win the finals, phewwww how much money did i win that day, was a good day fellows
but anyway achilles, u really think Cubs have a shot? i know you mentioned cavs coming back from being down 3-1 but they had the best player on the planet in that sport, the Cubs dont, i just feel that there best players Rizzo, Bryant they did what they had to do last year and played there hearts out and came back from a 3-1 deficit and won the 1st WS in over 100 years, but now they dont really have anything that big to play for,but hey i wish them all the best, but please dont tell me that the Dodgers arents a better team than the Cubs are this year, that why i feel like the Dodgers will win this series, and the yanks win there series, maybe not tomorrow vs Verlander, but it will be a close game tomorrow and if they wont win tomorrow, i have a strong feeling they will in game 7.
again achilles i have nothing against you, i trust your thoughts and opinions, but these are just my opinions and thoughts

JohnAnthonybk: You have no reason to apologize, nor does anyone else. When the OP asks for thoughts that's what he gets and has to be prepared for whatever they are. If all he wanted was support for his thoughts he should have made that clear.

I will say though Kershaw did turnaround his choke tag the last 2 years...he shut down the Mets in game 4, he took care of the Nats last year and he shutout the Cubs in NLCS game 2 in Chicago last year..so mentally, he's over all that...
Just physically, I'm concerned...I think this game goes over F5 and full game...

Did I ever say I didn't want insight, key? You ok? Very angry and impatient lately? The voice of reason today huh? My gosh. Good luck in your plays going forward bud. All the best.

U ok? I only know two languages otherwise I could translate it for you in whatever language you'd like. Gotta read the wirds from left to right too to bottom bud. ""
You said Bovada had the Cubs +1.5 at +120. That's BS. It was never at +120. Obviously you like to make up numbers but you already knew that...

It was at +120 at 9am central buddy. As you can see, it has moved since. Thanks for your contributions in stopping by. It's very clear you have nothing to offer here. Just trying to troll like the rest of them. Get in line bud.

If a team could come back from 3-0, I believe it is the Cubs. If a team could blow a 3-0 lead, it is the Dodgers. I'm not betting on this game because I have a few units on the Cubs to win the series. I could only hope Vegas dupes the public tonight.

I had the Cubs last nite and at no point did I feel comfortable with them closing out that game. The have yet to manufacture runs simply relying on the long ball and their bullpen is all over the place. Davis pitched his a$$ off last nite but with throwing 50 pitches, who is going to be the guy(s) tonite who will be able to get the late inning outs? Strop, Edwards? Not sure I'm confident with those guys. It definitely needs to be a concern going forward if this team is to extend the series. It's probably the main concern.
As for the bats, Rizzo and Bryant are nowhere to be found. They truly can't be this bad, right? Especially Rizzo....he has always been one of the toughest outs in baseball yet his plate appearances show that he has no plan and that he is lost. Are these two all of the sudden gonna pick it up against arguably the best pitcher in baseball? So many questions with the bullpen and the batters of the Cubs in a game tonite that will allow no from for error. At least with Contreras, you saw that he had a plan in his homerun at bat. I don't see that with the other Cubs still.
Lastly, when has been the last time Kershaw pitched an absolute gem, especially in the playoffs? I can't remember. Is he due tonite? Against a team that knocked him around last year in this series? So if the Cubs are to win tonite, they will need to score at least 3/4 against Kershaw with Quintana keeping the Dodgers bats cold. From there, the Cubs will have to rely on the shaky bullpen to fend off the Dodgers late again? Sounds like an uphill battle. At -166, are we paying for the "Kershaw name" here and the fact that the books feel the Cubs got lucky? +144 for the Cubs? I would have to expect that by first pitch this line will be north of -170/-175. 10 hours before first pitch, it's tough to envision the Cubs extending this thing to a game 6 but it wouldn't surprise me. Anybody have any intellectual thoughts about this game? Insight, data? Just curious to hear others point of views. Thanks all.
What's going on Achilles? Always like looking at your input. Coming from a St, Louis guy, I seem to think, from past experience, that you gotta fade Kershaw here. He is not the same pitcher in the playoffs as he is during the regular season. I don't know if it's a mental thing or a stamina issue but with the Cubs' backs against the wall and a rocking Wrigley Field you gotta go Cubs here. Quintana will get 6 innings in, I believe. Yes the Cubs bullpen is not consistent but I believe they will have a lead of 2 to 3 runs going into the seventh. That's my 2 cents

I think we see starters here from beginning to end with the Cubs tonight because their is NO room for error here and the Cubs bullpen is filled with them especially with Davis used up hard last night and if NOT for that double play last night I'm sure everyone knows who was on deck last night for LA with the Cubs pulling yet another Houdini escape out their @$$ to win the game by a run. Can the cubs win tonight? I Absolutely think so with Quintana on the mound especially if the dawn of the dead bats of Rizzo and Bryant wake up and if they do these two are good enough to hit anyone in baseball.
