I went to several games the first couple of years they opened up that park (have since moved to the Dallas area) and it was a great place to watch a game no matter where you sat.
Can say the same thing about Miller park (Milwaukee)

Yeah. I know all about Texas. Best friend in High School moved from Dallas area and I got a lifelong lesson about Texas Proud. BTW, according to my friend, Tom Landry's daughter was the biggest person in the neighborhood. Just an interesting piece of knowledge to pass along to my covers degenerate friends.

#1. If a pop up hits a girder in foul territory it's a foul and the ball is dead. If it hits in fair territory it's a live ball. Ok
#2 Hundreds of kids bring their glove to ball games and all of them simply act like kids. If that was me at that age and that ball is coming right at me , I own it. lol Everything ended with smiles a celebration.
#3 Ball gets stuck, I've watched every game for the last 3 years at least and that's never happened. It's one of those things an 'anomaly '. It could happen at any ballpark.
#4The Hill was taken out to make room for 2 eateries, one with a nice bar and outdoor seating adjacent to the bullpen. They also have an area that you could go out and shag balls during batting practice. Of course this all comes with a cost. They did it for revenue not because someone was going to break their leg.
Minute Maid is a beautiful park and a great place to watch a ballgame.
