what a week of games
I was very impressed by the heart and grit the Texas Longhorns showed, if they had more experience at QB they win that game, the youngster missed all sorts of throws but that team played superb defensively, you can sense them getting closer, it doesn't take Tom long to turn the tide, bravo to the Horns, well played
USC on the other hand is what they are, a very nice team with talent but overrated, that is coming from a USC & Pac12 fan, that win over Stanford was nice but doesn't look as great the more you watch Stanford, the Cardinal just don't have great skill players and obviously aren't as good in the trenches if USC pushed them around all night
Clemson once again proved to be the BEST team in the country, seems like I have mentioned that for 3 weeks now, maybe it's beginner's luck, I know our SEC faithful are waiting on the edge of their seats for a Clemson loss so they can pounce, well, Bama gave up more points to Colorado St in Tusca then Clemson gave up to Lamar Jackson at Louey, just a little food for thought for those of you who wear blinders and can't see so well during football season
Louisville will beat lots of teams but they'll have to outscore them, their defense has holes and Bobby will have to get focused on that side of the ball, nobody will score on the Clemson d line so his offense is just fine
Vandy beat the Manhattan Cats, props to that program for a great turnaround, they are legit on defense and will not be an easy out for the some of the less than talented offenses they will face in the SEC
I'm not sure what I was watching when Florida played Tenn, what I do know is I wasn't watching offense or QB play, all I can say is wow, I'll leave it at that, not much else needs to be said if you saw that game
very impressed by Auburn's huge 2 touchdown win over Mercer
, way to coach them up Gus, from playoff talk to grinding wins over Mercer, lots of talk this morning out on the plains, the faithful will be ready to fire Gus very soon, Auburn has way too much talent to play like this
Mike Riley is going to hear it all week in Lincoln, that QB can sling it but I don't see much else to like from that team, we need programs like Nebraska and Auburn to be very good again, it's better for college football
great win for Miss St, they are a sleeping giant with that QB, he's clearly good enough to bring them a long way this year, beating LSU by 30 is impossible for any school to do, that is amazing, great job Miss St, you just moved waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up my board
I have to admit when I'm wrong about a team if I'm going to point out when I'm right, I was wrong about Oklahoma St, I thought they were top 15-20 material but getting way too much hype coming into the season, they are a legit contender if they can continue to pass block well, that QB to wr combos they have is unstoppable if they get good pass protection, Clemson would be a huge challenge for this team in that area, not sure they'll face that issue much in league play, will be a fun game to watch this week vs TCU, the Frogs can stop the run but are vulnerable to giving up big plays in the pass game, something tells me this spread could be high
tcu/smu was a great game to watch, it took a hail mary to end the half and a late flurry including a pick 6 for them to win by 20, a few things to notice in that game was lack of depth for SMU, if they had equal depth they go toe to toe with TCU for 4 qtrs, what an amazing job Chad Morris is doing there, they are a good team and will pound some opponents, I'll also note Kenny Hill is improving, he made some nice throws in that game, he will have to play flawless to pull the upset in Stillwater
good easy win for Wisconsin, BYU is auto fade, they have very little talent in Provo this year and can't do anything on offense, their offense is about like watching Florida, it's actually worse than Florida
UCLA/Memphis was a fun watch with not much defense going on, UCLA was the better team but a few costly mistakes and missed assignments on defense sends them back to LA with a loss, Bruins have to improve leaps and bounds defensively or Mora won't make it past this season
Oregon is good, they'll improve defensively under mean face each week, that offense is legit and I love that they can throw now, Ducks are going to be dangerous at the end of the year
top 10 coming, then its time for the winning
excuse typos as I don't stop to read what I'm typing
