I rarely do write-ups, but this is the only game Im really feelin this week so.....
OHIO STATE -7.5
Whenever two ranked teams play each other, public perception leans to the underdog. Its natural to assume it will be a close game between two good teams, so taking the points is a smart play. However, this can create value on the favorite. The points have not moved despite oklahoma getting more plays, which suggests the bigger money is on ohio state. Line movements are not my strengths so lets get to football reasons..... 1) Both teams lost a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. However, Ohio State is deeper and more talented than this Oklahoma team. Both squads return their starting QBs but not very much experience at the skill positions. Mayfield is solid but his offensive line will struggle (as they did last year) blocking this Ohio State front. He has a new crop of recievers going against a new crop of defensive backs from the buckeyes so that matchup will be key. I feel like Indiana was a perfect tune-up for Ohio State to prepare for this game. Oklahoma likes to do a lot of similar things. This game is close but the difference for me comes when Ohio State has the ball.... If Ohio State decided to run the ball on every play, Im not sure Oklahoma defense could stop them... they are soft up the middle and Ohio State offensive line is tough with talented backs and not to mention a strong runner in jt barrett.... Oklahoma is more experienced in the secondary this year and that may give them advantage against young Buckeye recievers, but im not sure they will need to do much..... i think ohio state grinds oklahoma for 3 quarters and when those safeties pinch up to stop the run, you get the big passes behind them in the 4th...... gimme buckeyes

I was surprised Ohio State gave up 21 pts to Indiana. But credit Indiana for exploiting Ohio States one on one coverage with their tall receiver. And then blame Indiana for going uptempo. Works when you moving the ball, but backfires when you go three & outs and put your D right back on the field.
Ohio State figured it out in the second half and the answer was AIS.
Athletes In Space. Get the ball to your athletes with short passes and watch them go. Same will apply in this game. I will be surprised if Barrett goes over the top and succeeds. But they won't need to. AIS will win this for the Buckeyes.

Baker mayfield had a 71% pass completion record last year. This guy is nfl material. IM a buckeye fan and fading ohio state here.
B. Mayfield is going to be running for his freakin' life...He is a great story and he will lead OU to some success this season...Just not against tOSU on Saturday night...

Not sure why you think when two ranked teams play the public backs the dog? Absurd blanket statement since there are so many different scenarios when two ranked teams play for example this week georgia is ranked 15 ND is 22 yet ND is favored. Oklahoma is not a public dog this week
