The Raiders have announced they have handed the keys to Del Rio.... Im wondering if he keeps tarver... Overall thoughts and opinions on the hire? I know one thing he can put a defense together something the raiders have lacked for sometime now..
RIP Al Davis
*Interesting note... Del Rio grew up a die hard Raiders fan... And his parents are season ticket holders...

I disagree that its same garbage diff day.... if we can get trestman to coordinate our offense and tutor carr ... smith to coordinate our defense I like the idea of 3 former head coaches at the helms ... sounds ALOT better then dennis allen... still think we should have fired reggie he has made some big mistakes at the helm...

As a Raiders fan I would just love to have an 8-8 team for now and to see at playoff game. Fu*k.. We dont even have to win it, Just get to the playoffs is all I ask.

It's looking like it will be del rio, smith and trestman running the ship. The latter two will do well back in their original more limited roles where they can focus solely on their own departments, while jack will be the motivator, which is something he does extremely well. The three of them together will serve the raiders very well in my opinion.
The lion and the tiger may be more powerful, but the wolf doesn't perform in the circus.

He was a good coach for the Jags and made them respectable, who were and are a terrible franchise (although arguably he was not as focused in his last year or two, but who wouldn't with that manage). Good hire for Raiders, Mckenzie has cleared cap room and gotten rid of some toxic contracts. The team is still a mess indeed, but this is a a move in the right direction. They need to hit big in draft with especially to arm Carr with some weapons (as well as adding to that D, which should become stout under Del Rio). It also helps that he's a life long fan which will add to his commitment and passion.

Love former head coaches forced back into the roles they originated in. They have learned from their failings in promotion and are more humbled, refocused, motivated and comfortable back in their more limited specialties, which is where they excel or they never would have been promoted to head coaches to begin with.

Adios Jack, made the broncos defense better for a year or two, but a choke artist in the big game just like old man munson
Yeah. It was Del Rio's fault Rahim Moore gave up that desperation 70-yard touchdown to THE Jacoby Jones of the Ravens...............another game Manning "lost"
