How quickly will the ESPN Pundits say that it was a let-down game?
Alabama has won 3 of the last 4, Senior AJ McCarron, a host of top tier running backs, and O-Line. SEC and ESPN will write it off as a "let-down" from not being in the BCS!
Who have they beat out of conference the last 3 years? They should have had to play Okie st and Oregon, not LSU and ND! I could be wrong? at least we will have it better next season. With a 4 team SEC playoff!

Saban was interviewed and said he thought they got complacent as the year progressed.....didn't pay attention to detail, etc. Does he seem like the type who wouldn't have addressed this during their time off?
Not even saying they cover, but my guess is the Bama players will be interested in this game.

Ask Michigan State how that worked out for them. I guess Bama could have hung over a hundred on them if they were really into it and weren't letdown for not playing in the Title game. I know it was a few years ago when that game was played but still the same concept. Not saying it will happen but Bama can cover this line easily if they want. Think Saban gets an early lead and then plays safe and will not run it up too much since he respects Stoops and has had him come to Tuscaloosa before to help out with some things. Only way Oklohoma wins is Saban starts to play it to safe as he has against Auburn twice and got burned. Should have kept his foot on the throttle both times but starts calling plays too predictable and thinks his D can stop the other team. Most of the time this works but when you play a dynamic offense with playmakers every now and then the D will get out of position and get burned as has happened in the past against Auburn. Saying all that NO way Oklohoma beats Bama.

I don't really think Bama losses, I just wanted to hear the SEC fans howl!
Covers write up about Game
Alabama saw its chances to play for a third consecutive national championship dashed on the final play of the regular season, so an obvious question is whether the third-ranked Crimson Tide will suffer a major letdownwhen they face No. 11 Oklahoma in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Jan. 2 in New Orleans. A miraculous 109-yard kickoff return by bitter rival Auburn as time expired in the regular-season finale derailed Alabama's three-peat hopes and now the team must regroup for the matchup with the twice-beaten Sooners. It will be the five-year anniversary of The Crimson Tide's last visit to the Sugar Bowl, when they were waxed by Utah after their perfect season ended against Florida in the SEC Championship game.
2. Oklahoma is a decided underdog after losing to Texas and getting mauled by Baylor, but it finished the regular season on a high note, registering a last-minute victory at archrival Oklahoma State. One of the few programs in the country that can rival Alabama's storied history, the Sooners will be making their 15th consecutive bowl appearance under coach Bob Stoops.
I
f the sooners win, the excuse in place is all im saying!

outcome should be looked at as far as the SEC vs "top tier" opponents right now.
Mark May and Lou Holtz also said pre-game that they think Alabama is the best team in the nation! What a joke! The best conference nonsense has to stop, play better non conference! We get ripped off 4 weeks a year!
Lou Holtz prediction:
OU 21
Alabama 35
Mark May
OU 10
Alabama 48
So your point ML was that if/when they lose; they will sing the "letdown song" all day the next day on ESPN?

Did not see that coming but that's why college football is great. Still don't think it was a let down game. Oklahoma just played better and wanted it more. Think the turnovers and points given up from them is what did Bama in. Bama got away from what it does best and played right into Oklahoma's hands. I don't think it was a letdown think this one just got away from them.

Don't know how anyone called that a letdown game. Bama's offense was shredding OU for most of the 1Q. The TJ Yeldon fumble inside the OU 10 yd. line completely changed things. Bama was driving to lead 24-17 but instead OU scores.
If anything, I think this shows that the SEC was very overrated this year.
