Good Luck bro ! It's a gutsy bet... Washington needs it at least as much as Winnipeg, but they are healthy (Jets are not), they are well rest (Jets are not) and they are on FIRE !!!

BetCity...I didnt get a chance to look at the Wild/Kings matchup this morning....wifes water broke so we are waiting for our daughter to arrive at any time. without looking deeply into this game, I would be interested in the under. However, I already have a dime in play and I will be making some sort of play on St Louis tonight.

Santa Klaus....the man is expecting the birth of his little girl......you might want to consider giving him a break on the analysis? Just a thought. Good luck AMD......with your picks as well.

Thanks so much for the well wishes, fellas...I usually don't involve personal issues into my threads but today certainly is a great day. As for my Winnipeg play, I've stated in the past that I refuse to take any value play based on value alone. Not only is +170 a ridiculous line, I absolutely believe Winnipeg can win this game. Yes, I'm aware of the 3-1 season lead Washington has over Winnipeg just as I'm aware of the 3-0 season lead Quinnipiac had over Yale until Yale won 4-0 in the Championship game. In no way am I comparing the two colleges to these professionals, however, I'm stating that the regular season meeting between the Jets and Caps mean nothing tonight....new season comes down to 1 game and Pavelec happens to be 6-0-1 in his last 7 games. I like Pavelec over Holtby who has come on strong as of late but I don't trust Holtby in big games. Just as Ovechkin has been simply amazing, Ladd has been equally as important in getting the Jets to where they are tonight. Before Ovi was so successful in scoring this season, the Caps had him playing on the off wing which took away half the ice and since he's back on the strong side, he's flourished because he's been able to use the entire ice in the offensive zone. I expect the Jets to try and take away Ovi's strong side forcing him to use his outlets. If Ovi can be contained, the Jets have a very good chance at stealing this game. Washington has holes, defensively, and the Jets do a very good job capitalizing on turnovers. The Jets forecheck well and I don't see them turning the puck over in the neutral zone as they'll dump and chase, forecheck and make the Caps play two way hockey. The Caps are fresh as they've been off for three days but sometimes being off for a length of time can adversely affect a teams play. Playing at home in big games isn't always advantageous either as some teams play tight. Washington is a flaky team... if they net the first goal, they are capable of winning 5-2 but if they fall behind early, this game will be interesting for 60 minutes. Ladd, Wheeler and Kane will show up tonight and Ovi needs to be aware of where Byfuglien is at all times or we might start calling Ovi, Bobblehead.
