I'm on the fence on this one. Quintana has been very good all season, but has given up 5+ runs and 8+ hits in 3 or his last 4 road starts. Buchholz's ERA is still high but has gotten better since coming off the DL, and despite giving up 4 earned runs last game only gave up 3 hits in 6.1 innings.
The Red Sox lineup is very lefty heavy as always, so I think I give Quintana the slight edge. However, the Sox big leftys don't really struggle against lefty's the way other guys do, and the Sox offense is really catching stride with Ellsbury and Crawford back, even withouth Ortiz.
I'm surprised to see the Red Sox at -145 as I think it should be closer to -115 given the starting pitcher disparity with Buchholze having nearly a .5 higher WHIP than Quintana.
I briefly considered taking the over, but both these pitchers have the ability to to have a shutout game, and both lineups can go cold at times.
What do you guys think?
