i know. seems so easy. rockets tonight. right?
i promised myself not to overthink it too much...but i cant help it.
why would vegas make it so easy for us ? houston +1? after houston almost wound up winning both in gs and if not both - one for sure was close enough that if the beard would not miss it it would be 1-1?
beard i said? fear the beard? but that beard was from bay area? is from bay area. right? from another sport.
and that is exact reason i remembered the great san francisco market. with all the google and all the people with money.
now, if i was representing the interests of the networks, nba, vegas (you can laugh as much as my wife is seeing all this being typed but read it thru) - i would make sure it plays the following scenario:
my goal is to choose between creating two different dynasty rivalries: like mj vs iseah thomas (yikes, no money and not that interesting), or the majic johnson (previous mj) vs larry bird rivalry.
now, lbj vs harden would represent the first one and lbj vs curry another one.
no doubt - lbj vs curry would have drawn more positive interest by people with money and that is the scenario i would go to.
but how would the sequence of games would be played out so i can have the most profits as vegas as well as the most money for the networks and the team owners?
easy: gs state wins game 3 too, against the public and pocket the money for me.
now everyone is convinced it is a sweep and all the public is on gs game 4. well, rockets win game 4 and now if they also win another improbable game in gs on game 5 - the public is confused and expecting another great comeback from the rockets if they tie up in game 6.
you see what i mean and where i am going?
i may be crazy and the decision who will play restd lbj in the finals is yet to be taken by the top brass, but meantime - the way to our pockets seems to be easy the way i described it.
but then - what do i know?
btw, not sure yet what am i playing tonight. because even i have a hard time believing all the bs i wrote here
