Haven't really posted much this year ben hitting alright on my posted plays, but a heavy lean I have for tomorrow
SD super chargers How do you bet against manning on MNF? Well I did in ATL posted play and I think I will again tomorrow. Mannings MNF records impressive, will he lose 2 in a year...I was on NO last week not posted and the chargers had that game in hand really, but the desperation, emotion and high octane o of the saints was just too much to handle. The chargers got involved in a shoot out and in a shoot out I'll back brees in the dome over sd any day. Now the broncos have manning, whose numbers have been stellar this year, but that broncos o just doesn't impress me much all around. A lot of mannings yards and stats are due in large part from comebacks that he's generated or attempted to for the most part. Pitts led them to the w, Houston in the 2h, pats in the 2h, falcons in the 2h..now I don't see sd being able to get ahead by much and do see this being a back and forth typa game and the broncos just haven't shown me that they are able to win those kinds of games yet. Unable to put 2 solid halves together all season. Sd on the other hand dropped to atl and no two of the top tier offences in the league but the broncos don't have those same weapons. They rely on those 5 yard underneath routs and sd's secondary can definitely defend those. It's PoWDER BLUE for me MOnday

Been following Manning since Tenn. He has always been a 4th quater rally/comeback QB. He is at best when trying to pull a comeback.
I would think Chargers would be a bigger favorite given the 'situational' road loss to Saints last week. But, then again Manning lost to his arch nemesis Brady on the road as well. Unwillingness by the books to give more points to Den (2-3) on the road gives me a pause.

love the write up when I post my pick I'll just say refer to "The_Swamp's Powder Blue Monday thread" But I'm also basing this play off situation and a hot trend. Let's cash this

Take it how you like it, but it all comes down to matchups. Sd killed oaktown then got killed by atl. Oakland therefore should have gotten killed today by atl but they didn't. I just dont think Denver have that 1 deep threat that can give weedle and co that scare. Weedle and jammer will both be sitting near the box and although manning will get his, both are solid tacklers and will limit the yac that Denver so desperately rely on. Heck if it wasn't for a 60+ yard bubble screen and piss poor steelers tackling, they lose that one too.

Don't get why so many think this is a "must" win for the broncos. We all know the chargers will sputter at some point but even with a sd win and broncos loss, and another game between these 2, the division is still way up for grabs. Can't see why folks would use this approach. It's far from gbay's situation yesterday. Just saying. BOL to all!

So Denver has played the tougher schedule the Chargers have had a fairly easy schedule compartively speaking. Denver beat a hobbling PITTS team in the first week and besides that 60 yard bubble screen the Broncos were outplayed by a depleted Steelers team. Then those same Steelers go out and lose to the lowly Titans who are so shit..That shit team the Chargers beat that doesn't look impressive. Denver hung with NE, mistakes mistakes mistakes cost them the game BUT are the Pats the same team of old? Losing SU to Zona, getting outscored in a shootout to Flacco, losing SU to the HAWKS and their rookie QB..The Chargers got rolled by the dirty birds, but then OAK town competes with ATL in the dome traveling East..All this to say that it just doesn't matter at the end of the day and I do feel like the Broncos tough SOS plays against them going into the BYE. This team needs the BYE more than any team right now in the league. The D is a mess for some reason even though Brooking will get the start today, Demarius needs a couple more sessions with the psychologist as he's had butter fingers all season long although his ypg do look impressive on paper and McGahee has almost as many fumbles as he does TD's. Don't bet on teams based on their schedules, this season has already proven how crazy this league could be..
Now when looking at SD, I actually think the O is a lot more balanced. They got rid of Jackson the cancer, Royal Meachem Floyd are both good slot as well as deep threat targets and Matthews hasn't exactly got it going yet but is a threat out of the backfield and did rush for his career high last year against these Broncos. Let's not forget Gates the safety blanket. Now what does Manning really have? Decker and Demarius. Decker is a good slot receiver and demarius did have an impressive couple of weeks but has also made huge mistakes. Factor in some inflated stats due to Manning having to generate a comeback. And that's been the story of the Broncos this year. Coming back against Pitt, attempt in ATL, against HOUSTON and NE. There isn't no first ballot H.O.F on this team guys face it! MANNING will be MANNING and i do hate betting against the man especially on Primetime, especially since i already did against ATL BUT I see it for what it is. There's no Reggie Wayne, no Marvin Harrison, no safety blanket CLARK. Tamme the poor mans clark..really...Now as for SD's D, that secondary has always looked good to me. Jammer/Weedle/Cason all solid DB's, and they did get picked apart by Brees go figure, emotional night for the winless aints, it happends, i was on NO not posted however. Rivers does have more weapons, Rivers does play well against the Broncos, Manning seems to struggle against them.
Finally, when comparing these division rivals. In the first meeting last year, SD doubled Denvers T.O.P and came out with the W hanging 29 on em. In the 2nd game, the emergence of Tebow kicked in and the upwards slide to denvers season began. Even T.O.P, Denver came out with the W. Now this season with the "high octane" Manning O, they have won the T.O.P only once which was against oak town in a landslide, PITT even beat them despite ending up on the losing end of the scoreboard. That TEBOW O controlled the clock and kept RIVERS on the bench which was the recipe for success as Rivers always seems to play efficiently against the Broncos. Now with SD's balanced O, I do see the Chargers winning the T.O.P which should get them the W.
Finally, I'm going against a good trend which is taking the road team in this division. For some reason, home teams have a hard time defending home turf. But as mentioned, I'm not buying the more "battle-tested" view,, nor the MANNING MNF theme, I'm riding the team that has more positives then that of the Broncos negative start since the end of last season. This isn't a "must" win for the broncos..Really? They'll play these Chargers again at home and the division winner will go through with a .500 record, so hold your horses for the time being. More balanced O,
