The Dallas Mavericks signed free agent forward Rashard Lewis on Saturday.
The team did not release terms of the deal.
Lewis spent the past two seasons with the Miami Heat and was a member of their 2013 NBA championship team. Last season, he averaged 4.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 16.2 minutes in 60 games. In the playoffs, he averaged 5.3 points and 2.1 rebounds.
In 16 NBA seasons, the two-time NBA All-Star has averaged 14.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 32.0 minutes in 1,049 games (842 starts) for the Seattle Sonics, Orlando Magic, Washington Wizards and Heat.
Lewis was the No. 32 overall pick by the Sonics in the 1998 draft.
