Premier League striker admits to betting charge
Stoke City striker Cameron Jerome has reportedly admitted to violating the Football Association's rules on betting.
The 26-year-old owned up to placing wagers on competitions in which his club were involved in, but it is not believed that the former England Under-21 player was involved in any match fixing.
Stoke City finished 13th in the 2012-13 table and Jerome contributed three goals and three assists in his 26 appearances for the club.
The Potters open the Premier League season away to Liverpool on August 17 and are currently listed as +750 underdogs.
