MLB suspends Ryan Braun for the rest of the season

Milwaukee Brewers slugger Ryan Braun has been suspended by Major League Baseball for the rest of the 2013 season for PED use.

Braun said in a statement, as reported by CBSSports.com: "I realize now that I have made some mistakes. I am willing to accept the consequences of (my) actions."

Braun, the 2011 NL MVP, had hit .298 with nine homers and 38 RBIs on the season prior to being suspended.

We asked Steve Mikkelson, sportsbook manager at the Atlantis Reno, how much the suspension would effect Milwaukee moneylines.

"This is a guy who is a potential MVP candidate," says Mikkelson. "The Brewers really don't have any pitching and to pull that bat out of the lineup would be devastating. If they lose Braun, without question, you're probably knocking 10 cents off the line."

Now college football going down the tubes. Clearly legal hit has now got more rules added. The integrity has been lost in corporate greed. Espn reported some ncaaf ref actually saying....I quote.....when in doubt throw um out? That means, a full game wager is a sucker bet. Stats and matchups are useless. Outcome will be based purely on politics. Halftime.....prepare forbig line swings and shady outcomes.

Why dont all pro sport teams .......setup approved supplement facilities?............BECAUSE THERE IS NO PROFIT IN FIXING THE PROBLEM.......but all you holyer than thow folks are without sin and glorifying the next mans demise. Hooray the cheater goes down!.....All those feel that way, are so financially and morally bankrupt, they need things like this to happen to justify their own loser of a life they wake up to everyday.

Corporate greed destoying all sports. The league knows more fines = more profit. The game has been dirty since Babe Ruth being a heroin addict tricking with hoes. Do gooders shroud their evil behind highly publicised so called good for the game. Meanwhile, players play everyday and being pushed for early return from injury and surgery and think common table food will provide enough nutrients.....please.

I never bought the fact that the sample in the past was tampered with.It was clear when he wore that leather jacket back in early 2012 declaring himself an hewas full of cra.I think the end of Arod is near also.I dont blame Braun for listening to his lawyer aft 2011 season, but he had a choice to do it the right way now he has to pay.Its a shame bc he is a great player.Anybody that thinks juice doesnt give u an advantage their just in denial bc it does.Ive juiced a few times for a short period, but I just value my jewels too much not to mention I almost felt high at times and couldnt sleep for days sometimes so I threw it away.Time for Braun to pay.Seems like MLB should hire Victor Conta or someone with his expertise to catch these guys.As a fan we like the homerun, but its CHEATING anyway u look at it.With that being said unless Bonds has a dirty urine him and McGwire should be in HOF IMO/

Braun is a total piece of garbage. Player association wouldn't even defend him this time. One more violation & he's banned from MLB for life.
