Hawks' Petro in Miami for child birth; Game 4 status unclear

Atlanta Hawks center Johan Petro missed practice on Sunday to travel to Miami for the birth of his child, according to the Associated Press.

Petro's wife is scheduled to deliver on Sunday. The Hawks are hopeful he will be back in Atlanta on Monday night for Game 4 against the Indiana Pacers.

Petro started Game 3 and had six points and four rebounds in 13 minutes of action. Hawks coach Larry Drew played a bigger starting lineup in Game 3, starting Al Horford at power forward and relegating Kyle Korver to a bench role. Atlanta won 90-69, covering as 2-point favorites.

Ivan Johnson could start in Petro's place if he's unable to return to Atlanta in time for Game 4, but Drew said he would rather use Johnson as a reserve.

Petro is averaging 5.3 points and 2 rebounds per game in 13 minutes of action in the playoffs.

The Hawks are 2-point favorites in Game 4 and the total is 186.

The Pacers lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.
